There were a few car’s in the lot (different but encouraging). There’s a kiosk which was nice but kind of useless as you can’t see what you’re ordering. I got a lunch special, didn’t realize it didn’t come with fries. I attempted to enjoy it but just didn’t taste right at all. Ordered taffy grapes as well, why was it two orders in the trash? I see why now.
Best of luck, hopefully it gets better. I’ll pass.
Poor Communication- Told me he didn’t have livers until I called him back to tell him my order was incorrect.
Unprofessional- Inappropriate conversations and tried to give me his number. ( DENIED)
Overcooked food, old grease.
Super cold in the establishment.
Side note: Ordered a giblet dinner but only got gizzards. Gizzards were overcooked, couldn’t even eat them!!
Charged $21 and didn’t even get my order correct. Nor did he communicate with me that they didn’t have livers. Just charged me for a Giblet. Instead of communicating with me. He was just trying to make sales clearly. My mom fish was fishy and certain pieces wasn’t edible. TRASH!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
First off, the freshness of the food was outstanding. Everything in my order was hot, perfectly cooked, and tasted like it was made right then and there. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. No shortcuts were taken, no sitting under heat lamps or a basket of wings perched over the fryer.
Even more impressive was the accuracy of my order. After a long drive into town from Memphis, Tennessee, the last thing anyone wants is a mix-up. But everything was correct down to the smallest detail. That kind of attention shows real care.
What truly set this experience apart, though, was the exceptional customer service from Lisa and her sister. They were welcoming, patient, and genuinely kind from the moment I walked in. The fact that they stayed open past their normal closing hours just to accommodate me as I was getting into town speaks volumes about their character and dedication. That level of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.
Lisa and her sister don’t just run a restaurant—they create an experience. Great food is one thing, but combining it with accuracy, warmth, and a willingness to go above and beyond is what builds loyal customers.
Thank you for making my first stop in Hammond such a memorable one. I’ll definitely be back!
