The place was super warm and welcoming, with a lively vibe! The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to seat our party as soon as we arrived, and they took our orders right away once we were all settled.

The food was plentiful, fresh, and arrived right on time, even with the busyness. We had a chance to grab a drink and chat! The kids’ meals came with ice cream, which was a huge bonus! It was great value for money, and we’re so glad we had the chance to dine here on our travels!

Loco is a vibrant and lively restaurant in Victor Harbour. The food is always delicious and there are a variety of delicious margaritas. The menu goes above and beyond regular Mexican. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Recommend the ceviche, corn ribs, nachos and popcorn barramundi.

Was stumbled upon on a last minute late night adventure for dinner, was originally heading to a pub but had just missed the kitchen closing by a few minutes, looking around we had found Loco Mexican.

The moment we stepped into the place the atmosphere was so bright and welcoming, the smells of the spiced food made your mouth water.

Having never been here before we thought we’d try the El Grande, Corn Ribs and the Filthy Fries.
Everything was so wonderfully plated and tasted as amazing as it smelled, the Bara Popcorn was so delicious it just melted in the mouth and surprisingly didn’t have a fishy taste to it, which really allowed the flavours from the sauces to pop.
Overall not a single plate had food left behind, even my housemate that is very picky with food finished, everything was cooked to perfection.

Staff was fantastic and very helpful, had even been recommend some wonderful tequila to try, highly recommend the Caramel Tequila for anyone you likes their sweet drinks.

Wonderful staff, filling and delightful food with an eye catching decor and environment, it’s definitely a place to try out if you’re ever in the area or are out on a late night run for comfort food.

It’s a very nice restaurant and clearly very popular, I even enjoyed the taquitos I ordered. My husband is my judge of Mexican food though as he’s Mexican. He wasn’t very pleased by the overly watery and bland ceviche. He was also let down by the hot sauce on the table being from the US not Mexico, but I think that was a bit of a nitpick.
Overall I’m glad Victor Harbor has a Mexican offering, but it’s maybe not made for connoisseurs of the cuisine.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff is the heart of this establishment, and a special mention must go to Paul and his team, whose attentive and friendly service made our visit exceptional. What really stood out was his insightful recommendations, which were spot-on and greatly added to our enjoyment. My 11 year old son could not stop talking about him and how he made his night. It’s rare to find a place where the customer experience is such a clear priority. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Loco Mexican! Victor Harbor! Ay caramba!

The Fiesta De Jose “Feed Me” option is an absolute celebration of everything good and right in this world.

The Mexican corn… stop it. Just stop it. Sweet, savoury, messy, glorious. A must-have, a non-negotiable, a life choice. If you don’t order it, please reflect deeply on your decisions.

Chips and dips; nom nom nom. The guacamole? Nom. The bean dip? Nom. The dangerous thing is thinking you’ll “just have a few” and then realising the bowl is empty and your dignity is gone.

The chicken tostada left us wanting more; and that is the highest compliment possible. So tasty it felt rude to only have one.

Honey BBQ wings: ridiculously delicious. Again… wanting more. There is a theme here, and that theme is portion regret (not because they’re small; because they’re too good).

Then the assorted tacos arrive. FOUR. We did not expect four. So filling. So satisfying. So yum. The kind of tacos that make conversation stop and happy noises start.

Everything was fresh, vibrant, indulgent, and joyful; exactly what Mexican food should be.

If you are in Victor Harbor and don’t eat here, I can only assume you are being actively misled by someone you trust.

Decided to try Loco for dinner on a trip to Victor Harbor over the Anzac Day weekend. Did not make an appointment, which we should, but was fortunate to have a table for two at 5pm. The place restaurant filled up fairly quickly around 5.30pm – 6.00pm. We have not had much experience with Mexican food, so we went with some food which was recommended and some which we picked randomly. We ordered the Ceviche which was Australian kingfish. served with corn chips, recommended by the staff. We also tried a soft tortilla tacos of grilled barramundi with mango aioli. Finally we tried the nachos with pulled beef. Overall, the food was enjoyable, though we think we probably went with too much nachos. Our favourite has got to be the grilled barramundi with mango aoili, which was not only fresh, delicate but has the right mix of flavours to whet the appetite. The pulled beef was tender and we could break it easily to share. The Civiche was fresh and had a sushi like consistency. These dishes were more than sufficient for the two of us and we left feeling full and satisfied.

The place is spacious and suits families with kids or the romantic couple on holiday. If anything, perhaps a menu with photos could help those who are not familiar with Mexican food have an idea of what to expect. A note that the staff were very attentive but happy to leave you alone once your meal arrives.

Happy to recommend.

Love everything about this restaurant. The food is spectacularly good and plentiful. Never disappoints. The atmosphere is colourful and fun but its also the staff that makes it really great. Our waitress was welcoming, friendly and provided such great service, we mentioned it as we were leaving. Highly recommended.

We booked a table for NYE being tourists in Victor Harbor. I had the corn ribs and pork belly taco. The corn ribs were buttery and grilled to perfection. The pork belly taco was crispy and fresh. The cocktails were also tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.
