Place could be a really cool spot. Has two bar tops, lots of seating, a lot of space, was clean and has a good view. We were the only people in the place the entire time. We sit at the bar as usual. Not a fan of the rap music playing, definitely did not go with the atmosphere of the place and was slightly loud since there was no one there. They changed the music to something equally just as bad but we went for food. We got a couple beers and ordered the food. Chicken and waffles and a chicken sandwich. Extra sides are $7 ea which is steep. Service was fine, bartenders did not go out of their way to make conversation but was cordial and attentive. Chicken was really good; waffle was just a waffle, bun was fresh and good on the sandwich. Side for the sandwich was whole new potatoes. Very tasty but there are only 3. Maybe the music was a one off or just because it is the end of the season. We probably would have hung around and drank a few more if the music was more our style or if bartenders would have struck up some conversation. The fact we were the only customers may be why it had an awkward vibe but overall I would go back and try it again.

They were open in the off season! My friend and I wanted seafood and we got the fish sandwiches. 5/5! Huge portions – homemade Tartar sauce – homemade pickled cucumbers (fresh and crunchy) – Only disappointment is we couldn’t finish it!

Wonderful spot a little off the beaten path that has delicious food and great drinks! The fish sandwich is HUGE and outstanding, as is the fried chicken. We stayed here for 3 nights and visited 3 times. Highly recommend!

We stayed in southwest harbor last week while visiting Acadia. It was a very nice laid back tavern and was the perfect place for us because we had seafood the couple nights before and were looking for something different. My mom had a burger which she was was very good. I ordered the chicken sandwich and omg I wish they weren’t 12 hours away because I’d stop there weekly for that chicken sandwich and pickles I could eat a whole jar of those with whatever the dip was they put on the plate too.

My wife is going to blame me if you come here and I can’t get a table. Enjoy!

This place was recommended by someone at the inn we were staying at in Bar Harbor. It has such a lovely view! Definitely worth a stop if you’re on that side of the island. It wasn’t busy at all when we were there (for a very late breakfast/brunch) but it was also the off season. I can imagine that most places on the island are busy during the summer.

A lot of places are closed for the off season so we were very glad to find this one open! Coffee was good. My husband got a cocktail, I think some kind of brunch mule, which he liked. My sandwich was messy of course but delicious.

Food was so good here…we came twice on our trip to Maine! The crispy chicken is their specialty which is really good but I loved the fish sandwich!!! Yes, it is huge and the fish and batter is amazing. Lite crispy batter and then the fish of the day was the haddock…so good! I also really enjoyed the crab cake special. Nice wine and local beer selection.

Incredible, fantastic, phenomenal! I can’t say enough good things about the food. We got 3 sides, the biscuits, smashed potatoes, and the pickles. My husband devoured the pickles! The biscuits were so good, crunchy and flaky but also moist and fluffy. The sandwich blew my mind. Incredible batter, great taste! So happy!

Classic harbor side eatery known for its fish sandwiches and turkey. Parking across the street. It is not exactly on the harbor, just across the street. Eating outside you can see the boats. Great food and bar.

Great people, great food. Nice mix of locals and visitors. Limited food/drink menu mixes dive bar selections with something a bit more fancy. The fried chicken sandwich is damn good and the fried fish sandwich… you’re going to need a bigger boat! Note- this place is small and menu items can become unavailable during the course of a day.
