I’m giving the “Food” ONE star because the coleslaw was HORRIBLE! Probably the worst I’ve ever had. I remember they used to have great coleslaw so I’m not sure what happened…it was watered-down and tasteless! The beans were good, but if I had to guess, I’d say they went straight out of the can into the pot. I don’t believe they were “tweaked” in any way…but it’s a good thing I love beans cuz I ate them all & went for seconds. The chicken strips were amazing and the hush puppies were pretty darned good as well!
Oh, and they were LATE getting the main dishes out! Get it together PENN’s!!!

This place has gone way down. Their prices on the menu at the drive through have not been updated in what must be years since the family catfish meal is $23 more than the posted price. I just paid $63 for a family meal and one order of onion rings. Plus, they charge extra for condiments. On top of that they are slow and the fish had a whang to it.

I hate to post a negative review, but I’ve given this location multiple tries over the past year and it’s been consistently SLOW on service (especially in the drive through). Tonight, I decided to document a timeline.
5:35 pm ordered (1 fish dinner & 1 shrimp dinner – regular sides with both and 1 regular Pepsi)
6:10 pm paid at window
6:12 pm was given the incorrect drink
6:13 pm received apology and fixed drink.
6:21 pm I knocked on the window to get a status update “we’re getting it”
6:22 pm I received 3 boxes of food. ALL wrong…2 shrimp salads in tortilla bowls and a huge order of fried green beans with no sauce…
I was very polite and asked if they were okay. I saw 3 workers in the back so I don’t think they were short staffed.
I’m not going to return and I’m sad about it. I can’t recommend it under the current management.

If you want food that’s tasty, don’t go, if you want food that’s fast don’t go, if you want condiments don’t go! Penns has really gone down the drain. The hours and all. I waited over 23 min for the snack this past Sunday.

Penn’s just isn’t what it used to be in my opinion, it wasn’t terrible, just not as good as it used to be as far as I’m concerned.
My catfish filets were cold and tasted as if they had been sitting for a while, it definitely wasn’t very fresh. Most of the filets were small and they were pretty dry, seems there was more breading than fish with a few of them. Also, the sides were very disappointing as far as portion size goes. This was my first visit to Penn’s in a few years, unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon unless it’s a buffet.

Purchased 10 pieces a la carte
Waited over 10 minutes so i assumed the fish would be hot and smoking. My biggest mistake was not checking the box before i left. Each piece was $2.50 and three of the pieces so small they could have made it one piece. I paid 25.00 for 1/4 of a size

We discovered a new place to eat. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Food was fresh and hot, but a little overly seasoned. Catfish pieces were small. Staff was professional, pleasant and polite. It’s kind of like a fast food restaurant but could on order.
