Dumplin’s of Murray has been in business since 1989 at the same location providing excellent food and service to our community. Now under new ownership. Been voted by the City of Murray as the the Best Dessert as well as Favorite Lunch Spot for the past 26 years. Murray State University students have voted us as the favorite place to take your parents for lunch. We offer freshly made rolls, breads, homemade sandwiches, Burgers using our own rolls, variety of salads, daily specials casserole, Quiche, soup and of course best desserts ( pies, cakes and cheesecakes, cupcakes) with our Bakery Shop’s full customization. We provide Lo-Cal, Vegan and now serving alcohol for your in dinning experience. Open Mon-Sat from 10-4 pm for lunch/desserts.

We loved this place! The service was quick and pleasant. The food was very tasty. The atmosphere was nice and perfect for a girls’ lunch out or day-date with your significant other. We didn’t expect the portions to be so large. We could have stayed with a half sandwich and the cup of chicken & dumplings. The cup of chicken & dumplings were very good and very hearty. We had their chicken salad sandwich on homemade bread (YUM!!) and a prime rib sandwich (be sure to ask for au jus). It was all so good. Of course, we kept staring at the dessert case filled with cakes (8 or 9 options) and pies (about 5 choices) and cheesecakes, so we each chose a slice of cake to go. Everything is made there. The server told us they’ve been there over 35 years. They have daily specials, a variety of salads, and several sandwiches, in addition to the dessert choices, and their special fruit tea. Their carry-out service was busy, too.

Ordered a small Oreo cream cake from here for my husband and I’s anniversary, and it is so pretty and delicious. I was worried the cake would be too sweet, bc of the Oreos, chocolate cake, and cream, but it’s not, it’s perfect. The cream in the middle almost has a tang, like cheesecake, and it is so good, and balances it all out. I told them I didn’t need any extravagant decorations, just if the lady had anymore extra icing in her piping bag, do what she wanted. Isn’t this so pretty? We got glitter, and even separate colors with the green leaves and white roses. I can’t wait to order again, and I do recommend. The cake is really good.

My wife had a burger, it came out without a spec of seasoning, was dry, and lacking any flavor. I had the casserole of the day which was a Mexican chicken casserole. Basically it was chicken cream of mushroom soup and salsa, served on a total of 5 stale tortilla chips. It was more of a dip than A casserole and very. As for the overall experience we were seated rather quickly but it took about 6 minutes to get waited on and another 5 for drinks to be brought out. Finally ordered food, came out in a somewhat decent time, but were never offered refills or had anyone to stop by and see how the food was.

First off I wanna say the difference between four and five stars was merely the fact that I prefer my sandwich a little more dressed. Having said that it would not stop me from going back here again. The service was great, from the time we walked through the door until the time we left. The food was really good. One of the things we had was the enchilada chicken soup, phenomenal just absolutely amazing. And then the rolls are to die for. They really are great the good thing is is the sandwich comes on the roll so if you don’t get one you will actually get one. The salad is a salad, hard to mess that one up sometimes people do but they did not hear. The atmosphere was great, and I wish I would’ve saved a little room because the sweets look unbelievable. I cannot wait to go back and try it again. all in all it was an excellent place for lunch.

Before writing this, Google informed me that I ate here previously 9 years ago lol.
It was very good today. My wife knew they had a special of poppyseed chicken casserole that she highly recommend. I will say it was delicious. If you go when they are serving it.
Also they give you a giant roll that is really good.

The food was amazing and service was great!
I will say, we didn’t realize we had to wait be seated so we sat at a random table so I apologize to the staff for that
Despite that, as I said the food was delicious and our waiter was so kind!
The only “issue” I had was it is just a tiny bit too pricey (It was around $60-$70 for 3 people including 2 slices of cheesecake), but nothing to bad to stop me from coming back!

I have ordered a strawberry cake from here every year for my daughter’s birthday. I was so disappointed this year. The cake was pretty but it tasted like way to much artificial strawberry flavoring and the icing (I had requested cream cheese icing) left a coating in your mouth like crisco and didn’t taste like cream cheese at all. For $56 this cake should be amazing like it used to be.

This is my wife’s favorite place in Murray. I’ve been there a few times, and I must admit their bakery items are top-notch. Their dinner roles are to die for. They make very good soup and salads as well. Although I’m pretty sure their burgers are the microwave variety. There’s nothing wrong with that. We used to have those at home all the time. But that’s the point. When you are eating out, the expectations are higher. As I said, their bakery items are the best.
PS – My wife loves the quiche. Give them a try, I think you’ll like them.
