It’s a cute quaint cafe. The coffee was good. Perhaps we ordered the wrong thing but I did not enjoy the cream cheese french toast. I was intrigued but I think it was a bad combination and I couldn’t finish it. I wasn’t a fan of the pancakes either. The outdoor seating is very nice though! Plenty of parking and booth seating available inside.

This is our new favorite, local breakfast spot. It’s open for breakfast and lunch. There is a counter and wall of booths. When it’s busy the waiting list applies for the counter too.
I love the French toast…nice and eggy. Their omelette as are big and filled with goodness.
Also great coffee spot. Great drip coffee and espressos.
Do know, it’s cash or check only. There is an ATM inside.

Nice and moist cinnamon rolls. Delicious egg scrambles. I recommend the feta scramble, scrambled soft. Nicely seasoned potatoes. Great bacon when you ask for it crisp. Good coffee, but the Americano is even better (made from their new Lavazza espresso machine). Decent pancakes. They have Chilequiles on the last Sunday of every month. They have home made corned beef hash around St Patrick’s Day. Jonathan is the best server! CASH ONLY!

My husband loved Cafe Cup. And I wholeheartedly agree. Friendly and very attentive staff. Cannot say more about how enjoyable it is to have great wait staff who actually enjoy their jobs, work together and care about what they are doing.
The food was always fresh and well prepared. Never a complaint or issue.
Fresh cut fruit. Great portions. Local eggs. And vegan meat options. Usually not a big fan of home style potatoes but these were great. I wound up ordering a side of refried beans and they were really good (we came back several times during our week in OC and I ordered the beans every time).
Regular and fruit syrup for your pancakes, with specialty flavors posted on the wall… pumpkin pancakes anyone? And three kinds of fresh salsa plus Tapatio and Cholula on the table… I mean cummon y’all, that’s doing it right.
And the coffee. And the Italian Espresso and Cappuccino machine. Perfect.
Sad to say I was always so fast to dig in I don’t have great pix. The burrito is their mini burro with eggs, potatoes, choice of meat with a side of usually potatoes but I chose the beans. So great and very reasonable price. They definitely have huge regular portions if you’re so inclined. My husband enjoyed the steel cut oatmeal, the pancakes, and a few other options on our many morning trips. But forgot to remind me it’s cash only.
Remember: CASH ONLY. atm available. I forgot more than once, was only a $2 fee, not too bad.

Cafe Cup is a small local favorite in North Huntington Beach. It’s located in a strip mall and has only about ten tables and also seating at the breakfast bar.
The cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve had at a restaurant, hands down. Reminded me of grandma’s. I suggest starting with a mini for $1.50.
I got the potato scramble but I liked my husband’s feta scramble better. The potato scramble had a very high potato-to-everything-else ratio. Another time we got the vegetarian omelette, which was delicious.
This place is cash only, which loses them a star. In this day and age, the cost of accepting credit cards is simply the cost of doing business.
