would skip: their fries
this place is a blast from the past; retro posters and signage with pastel pinks and blues! i can’t stand grand / over the top diners that serve monstrous portions while charging an arm and a leg. the portions here at 57s are perfect and the pricing is fair. there’s nothing really wrong with the fries, but i really would recommend upgrading to the onion rings! they’re so crunchy and it’s a full onion sliced battered with no fillers. our waitress was soooo personable and attentive (i unfortunately don’t recall her name but she was a brunette sweetheart with glasses)!
i’ve been going to 57s ever since i attended the school nearby and its amazing to see that quality and community is still amazing as ever. can’t speak for their breakfast but their lunch is top tier!
my little cousin loved the shirley temple!
The breakfast here is great and they know how to cook their eggs. The coffee is nice too. I had a breakfast wrap with avocado and hash browns on the side with salsa and it was perfect. Have also tried the grilled chicken sandwich which came out on a garlic toasted hero (great quality bread) lettuce, mayo and juicy red tomato. Added steak fries because they’re the best.
Can’t recommend this place enough. I live right near Neptune diner and walk all the way to 57’s instead because they are that much better.
both were very good. We also Ordered onion rings and French fries the onion rings were the best I had in a long time The service was great Highly recommend this place so try it. Let me know what you think.
First off, it was refreshing to see such a clean looking diner. The interior is clean and well-decorated, good old school diner vibes without the grime.
My bf and I ordered their classic 57 burger with classic fries and an order of their waffles. Both were great, but we especially liked their burger. It was a simple burger, but it tasted fresh. It didn’t taste oily/greasy at all and the the patty was well seasoned and cooked. I love that it came with a side of pickles The only downside is that it’s an extra $2 to add a slice of cheese onto the burger. The shoestring fries were mediocre, so I would opt to upgrade to their other fries next time (waffle, curly, etc.)
I’ll definitely be back when I’m craving a burger.
