I was visiting Columbus, Ohio and wanted a fun vibe, and Bernard’s Tavern delivered. The music was great and the food delicious. We shared the taquitos, the Cajun pasta, and the deep dish cookie dessert, all of which were amazing. I will definitely come back next time I am in town.

Absolutely delicious food. Fantastic atmosphere and well priced. Bartender was quick to get us drinks, give us a menu when we asked and was very friendly. Highly recommend if you want a drink and good bar food. Their selection wasn’t very big but for a bar it worked. Burgers, fries, onion rings were all Fantastic. Even was able to add pickles to a item that didn’t have them listed as an option. I only mention that because I have had some smaller style bars or food places deny adding extras if they are not listed in the food description. Fantastic place, a short walk from the Hyatt convention center. Definitely will be eating again from them next time we are on an extended vist up here.

Wonderful staff, great drinks, tasty food, and the best happy hour in town for an out-of-towner! A great place to watch the game during any season- Bernard’s is the 1st thing on my itinerary when I visit Columbus!

This was a fairly unremarkable bar with a small menu of decent bar food, typical drinks, and good service.
I had the Homestyle Chicken, Nashville Hot and the cheese curds. Both were alright and the prices aren’t too bad given the location.

I always have the BEST time at Bernard’s Tavern! The bartenders are super nice, fast, and always attentive—definitely some of the best in the city. The drinks are consistently good, and the energy is always on point. It’s packed every time I go, but the staff keeps everything running smoothly. Even security is solid and professional, which makes it feel like a fun and safe spot to go out. Highly recommend!

One of the worst bars in the Short North due to fights, break ins to vehicles, and trash left on the street! If this city wants to really showcase the Short North as one of columbus’s best neighborhoods, they needs to shut this place down! Everyone know’s its a problem spot when there is a police car out front with lights on just to show their present and the bar has to hire off duty police for security!
