I ordered a Chile Relleno burrito which is my favorite but they microwaved the chile to cook it which made it extremely chewy – basically inedible. It didn’t have the egg wash like a typical relleno. I had to just pull out the chile and toss it. Basically I paid $17 for a bean and cheese burrito. I probably ordered the wrong thing here but the chips were stale and really cold and hard.
There are so many good restaurants on this street. This is easily the worst one. Go to Senoritas down the street for much higher quality food and vibe.
Overall a disappointment if you like Mexican food and eating. Go wait in line elsewhere regardless of how hungry you are.
Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I had a torta al pastor, and it was very good. The place is small but comfortable. I recommend it for a casual, satisfying meal.
One of the first things I wanted to try was their fish taco. Being from San Diego and growing up there and moving to LA in early 2020 I am especially qualified to judge fish tacos and felt this one was pretty good for Los Angeles. I still have yet to find a great fish taco up here in LA but would consider this one one of the good ones. We also ordered the Carne Asada plate and the Carne Asada fries. The Carne Asada on both was very good and seasoned perfectly and all the sides that came with hit the spot as well. They pretty much had all the same flavors that I grew up eating so I really finished my plate.
Overall a solid grab and go Mexican spot in Sawtelle. I would recommend to anyone searching for a good and cheap Mexican meal.

California Burrito: 7/10
Description: Good tortilla, average asada. For me the standard California burrito fillings: fries, cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream
The asada lacked the flavorful punch that elevates a good California burrito to a great one.
Overall, Nina’s provides a satisfactory California burrito that’s likely a good option for a quick and affordable meal. If you’re hungry and in the area – this place will work!
The tostada bowl salad was tasty, the burrito was delicious, and the hard shell potato taco was a new favorite!
The burrito is double wrapped very well and the tortilla chips were fresh and very good as well.
To the owners. Thanks for your great service. Hope that my review brings you plenty of customers.
