18 dollars! 18 F dollars for this! What has happened to this country? They advertise the sandwich as 15.50 then comes up to 17.48 then they give you the option to tip (20% 30% 40%) I’ve never felt robbed until today! Just look at how much meat and vegetable is inside this super thick bread! The staff, service and the sandwich was just ok. This is the reality of places that have 5 star reviews! they no longer give a care nor they’ll do anything to make as much money as they can!

Stopped by today to just check it out! The moment I walked in my mouth instantly started to water from the amazing smell of the food they were making! Everyone working was so welcoming! I bought a chicken cutlet just to try it out & omg it was THE BEST chicken cutlet I have ever had! The perfect amount of breading cheese and garlic in every bite! I will be coming back & telling my family about it! Such a wonderful hidden gem!

EDIT: Removed stars today. I walked over on my lunch hour and ate in the dining area. The reception was tepid. The table was dirty with crumbs from a previous customer. I had to wipe it myself with napkins. I thought maybe staff would notice and come wipe with a clean rag, but no. Then the sandwich was pretty slow coming out. When it arrived it was not as well put together as other times. The chicken kept sliding out and the bread was soaked through extra messy. My partner and I shared a sandwich bc they are $16.50 or $8.90 each with tax. The $3.50 chocolate chip cookie was just okay, really sweet. To top it off, I saw the saddest thing. A young guy high school or college age came in asking for prices on sandwiches. Dressed normal, clean-cut kid. Staff is saying $16, $15.50, $15.75, etc. Finally he goes, “Well what is the cheapest thing on the menu?” $14.50 she says for a ham sandwich. He says, “Oh. Ok. Thanks anyway,” and walks out. They don’t sell any half sandwich? What about the deli–there isn’t a slice of lasagna or 1/2 pint potato salad for less than $14.50 minimum for my guy looking to buy lunch? How much is the soup of the day? How much is one deviled egg? I just sat there thinking how is this restaurant for the neighborhood if a neighbor walks in and can’t get anything affordable for lunch. I know they had options under $14.50! The staff just didn’t bother to offer and didn’t care that this guy walked out. Nobody in line behind him either. What kind of customer service is that? That was rough to watch. Lost respect for the business to be honest.

1st review: Bomb sandwiches. I had the chicken parm for lunch today and it was heaven. The chicken was positively juicy. Crunchy. And the mild peppers…yep. Do I wish the prices were lower? Sure. Do I wish they were open on weekends so I could swing by for a picnic sambo? Of course I do. But I’ll just pop over on weekdays when I can. Good quality. 10x better than Ike’s or any other chain. Meatball also great.

Had the meatball sandwich and the lasagna. Nothing wrong with either just not amazing. Meatballs were cooked nice with decent flavor. I would have liked more sauce. The lasagna tasted like the spaghetti factory. Would go back to try other things.

Great authentic sausage sub. Mortadella, rolls, potatoe salad and the evil little deviled eggs ALL DELICIOUS! Glad I don’t live around the corner. I’d be in trouble. Pastrami was being sliced and it looked super fire!!!!

Superb sandwiches using the best crunchy fresh Italian rolls. There are hot and cold sandwiches. Not fancy at all. Great desserts and prepared foods.

I have been going here for years. They have the best sandwiches in town. My go to are the pork special or the veggie. They also have prepared items like lasagna or eggplant parmesan that you can take home to cook.

If you’re looking for a family-owned restaurant with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere, look no further than Sampino’s Towne Foods in Sacramento, CA. Located in midtown, this place is a must-try for anyone who loves great food and great service.

I had the pleasure of trying the pesto chicken ravioli and it was simply delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the texture of the pasta was spot on. But what really set this dish apart was the sauce – the pesto was incredibly flavorful and fresh. I also tried their lemonade and it was the perfect complement to my meal.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a date or a family dinner. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and really add to the overall experience. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Overall, I highly recommend Sampino’s Towne Foods. The pesto chicken ravioli was delicious, the lemonade was refreshing, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. If you’re looking for a great family-owned restaurant in midtown, this place is a must-try!

Came for lunch during the week. Was busy but quick service. Great meatball sandwich, warm and bread was good. Ample selection of meat, cheese, bread to purchase individually as well. Plenty of seating inside and outside to eat with plenty of parking in the lot.
