The Cori Midden Kitchen is a quintessential American restaurant that offers an intimate and cozy dining experience akin to a homey dining room. The exceptional customer service, coupled with food cooked from scratch, made our brunch visit with a large party quite memorable. Our waiter, Cathy, provided attentive service, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. We indulged in a variety of brunch items, with favorites including the catfish nuggets and cornbread, alongside lamb chops(small lamb chops), deviled eggs, and fried tomatoes. For our entrees, the shrimp omelette, French toast, chicken and waffles, and catfish and grits were all exquisite. Despite a few minor mishaps, the overall experience was delightful, and I highly recommend this establishment for its delicious food. It was a nice touch when the chef personally greeted our table, adding to the warmth of the experience. Advisable to book your reservation in advance, I look forward to returning in the future.

You may miss this restaurant from the outside. The exterior does not do this place justice. The inside is really nicely decorated. The bar area looked open and inviting! The dining room was spacious and modern looking. The host told us the food was scratch made and may take longer than expected, fair warning. My seat felt like the bottom was broken, I changed chairs and the other one was not much better. We went at 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon and there were a few other two top tables being served. My complaint about the atmosphere was the dirty dishes that were left on the bar and the men’s bathroom stall door leaning in the stall. Amos was our friendly server. He was not very attentive for as quiet as it was. We were not given ice water when we sat down. I asked two people for ice water (including Amos) and it took about 15 minutes to get a couple glasses. My wife had the sweet tea. She said it was good, not too sweet. We ordered the corn bread and fried green tomatoes. It took nearly an hour for our apps to come out. Amos brought us out the pepper and lemon wings. We informed him we did not order them and he seemed perplexed. We said that we would eat them because we were starving. They were really good. The corn bread was served in cast iron with a hearty dollop of vanilla honey butter. The corn bread was fantastic. It had a lovely crust and a soft interior. The butter was a little sweet for me but my wife enjoyed it. The fried green tomatoes were tangy and juicy. The batter was thin and crispy. The goat cheese and compote were such a fabulous accompaniment. I had the fried chicken and substituted the sidewinder fries. The chicken was as close to perfect as you could get. They breading was dark brown and crunchy but not over breaded. The chicken was so juicy. The fries were lightly seasoned. They were really well executed, not greasy and hearty! My wife got shrimp and grits. She fawned over how creamy and flavorful the dish was. She said that it was the best shrimp and grits she ever had. The portions were big and we ended taking food home.

This is one of my favorite go to spots! It’s a hidden gem. One of my favorites here is the fried green tomato sandwich. Amazing! They have a lot of different food options. A must try if you’re in the Camp Springs area and have a taste for some delicious fresh made to order food. The service is great and the owner is very in tune with his customers. I’ve been here when he was present and definitely walks around personally checking to ensure everyone is satisfied. I highly recommend giving it a shot! I will always keep Cori’s at the top of my go to list.

The food was worth the 40 minutes drive, and the three stars are not representative of the food but the service. Service alone gets one star. The managers did credit the bill and apologized for the service, and promised my next visit would be different, even suggesting I call ahead to let them know. Typically I don’t return to an establishment after such service, but I will give Cori’s another chance as the food is that good. I hope to get the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer next visit since they were out. I heard from my niece, who suggested I visit. They are mouth-watering delicious. The entrees are not pictured as we took those to go. My daughter ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich it looks tasty but she never ate it and it’s in the refrigerator I may have the leftovers for lunch. My entree was good. I had the Spicy Creole Salmon Pasta; I substituted the salmon for blackened shrimp.
I will update my review based on my next visit. The food is delicious, but the service sucks horribly. If you or someone you know is in the hospitality arena, they need good people for the front and back of the house.
The ambiance and establishment as a whole are on point. I’m a native Detroiter who lived in Chicago and Atlanta before coming to the DMV, and Cori’s would be my spot, reminding me of what I’m accustomed to with that home flair.
I truly want to 5 stars the food but can’t get pass the bad service and giving a 3 is being generous. I want people to patronize.
Cori’s I’ll be back for brunch in a couple of weeks. Please do better!
I updated from 3 to 5 star! Listen the food is delicious. I’ve visited 5 times since the initial 3 star bad service rating and Endia is amazing the service provided is impeccable and has an elephants memory. Kudos to you Endia!
I keep updating my review! Today’s visit Levi and Endia immediately remembered me and that was impressive!
I had to update 6/3 as I’d called for 2 days about fried green tomatoes. Upon arrival during brunch with no reservation and was seated at the bar and the hostess brought out the tomatoes without an official order and Brittany was wonderful. My five star review changes because of Amos . Unacceptable and a deal breaker for me! Five turns to two solely for Amos mouth. Before leaving my rating dropped to 1 star I wish I could rate negative 5 due to service alone. The food is a ten but this service especially Amos is not acceptable his mouth is reckless! I’ve been at the bar 45 minutes and still don’t have flatware or a small plate for the fried green tomatoes. I guess I will get tipsy on the mimosas.
Before leaving today Levi, Brittany and K redeemed the day. Amos though is unacceptable!
2/10/24 update service is bad waited about 8 minutes to be seated as there was no visible staff and only 4 other guests. Asked for two waters and had to go to the bar to get the 2nd one. Ordered a Arnold Palmer again another wait. I had eaten the catfish nuggets before the French Toast was brought out. The lemon pepper wings I hate I ordered some to go. I need to go home and put in them in the oven to cook them done enough. It has been 8 months since my last visit and now I am reminded why.

When you’re hungry and find this cute little spot in Camp Springs. Everything was delicious, not one item let down (although I would like some of white sauce for the lamb chops ) but overall . Go check them out for the weekend brunch until 3:30p. We will def be back and can’t wait to try dinner.

Visiting in the area and did a “Google Search” of restaurants in the area.
The photos alone had me sold.
The building alone looks like an old hospital…but who cares when the food taste this good.
The inside was well decorated and ample space for social distancing.
The greeter had amazing customer service. The waiter not so much, once he dropped the food…he never came back.
I had to ask the Greeter to please refill my beverage.
Nonetheless, I ordered Mac and Cheese ($11) portioned for sharing, Brussel sprouts ($5) side item, and Lemon Pepper wings 8 wings ($14 maybe don’t quote me). They gave exactly 4 drums and 4 flats for those where this matters.
Everything was tasteful. However, I had no ideal the wings were grilled lol. I assumed they were fried.
They saved me the calories lol.
The lemon pepper could’ve had more lemon taste..but a lemon wedge was provided on the plate.
All-in-All I will be back to try other dishes.

The decor looks great! The food was also great. We had the spicy creole salmon pasta, the chicken and bacon pasta, and the delicious cornbread appetizers. Everything was great and we even had leftovers. They only serve beer and wine at the bar which is ok for a chill date night but I wish they had a full bar. Service was good. We will definitely be back.

Family I have found the “BOMB dot Com” food spot here in Southern Maryland. You got to try the food at Cori’s Modern Kitchen”. The service is good, drinks are and the food is seriously DELICIOUS! I ordered quite a few things to sample.
The catfish sandwich made me want to slap my momma. The lamb chop appetizer was seasoned well, tender and tasty. The fried green tomatoes were Banging! I haven’t had such a tasty meal that I didn’t personally make in a while.
The bartender Terri was GREAT! The manager Eugene was wonderful. I will definitely be eating here again. Looking forward to it 4 real! Please check them out you won’t be disappointed. ❤️

I loved the atmosphere. It was shocking to have such personal service from India. We had the porkchop meal, fried green tomatoes, the cornbread, macaroni and cheese, lamb chops, plus the turkey burger. All of it was delicious.
