Durango Bagel is the perfect place for breakfast before the train. Located just half a block from the train station you can grab your breakfast before you board.
The bagels are fresh and delicious – and they make bagel breakfast sandwiches with lots of options.
I’m not a coffee addict and I don’t understand coffee culture – Durango Bagel sells coffee and the coffee lovers can slow down the line a bit with their overly complicated orders. But overall service is good and relatively quick.
It is a smaller place with limit indoor seating but when you’re in the San Juans, outdoors is the place to eat.”
Highly recommend.

This is my first time in Durango and I’ve been here for a few days and so far I love everything about it. This town is amazing. The food is amazing but then I wanted a bagel. I came to Durango bagel with my friend and she told me that it’s not the best but that it’s OK. I don’t think I have been ever Catfished by a bagel place but today was the day. Not only was the server so sassy and mean the bagel was stale and cold and not toasted. My sweet friend asked for a latte but the server said no because she had just cleaned it. The latte machine, even though they didn’t close in another two hours. I also asked if I could scoop the bagel. She looked me up and down and said we don’t do that. For those of you who don’t know scooping the bagel takes maybe 10 seconds of just pulling out the internal dough of the bagel but looking back on this there was no internal dough of the bagel because the bagel was stale and shriveled. I really had high hopes for this place because I love Durango and their food. I think they would really benefit from a revamp of this bagel place thank you for the time of reading this review and I feel that I had to do this. I don’t usually do but thanks. Ps the cream cheese was good!

Got two bagels, both had hair in them. Talked to the manager & she got us two new bagels. Which BOTH had hairs in it. Every time I come here I get a hair in my food. Most unhygienic place to eat in Durango by far.

Delicious bagel sandwiches. Gotta add on the “smear,” which is like a cream cheese mixture – I got the garlic & herb. You can order from a selection of sandwiches or build your own bagel – I got egg, cheese, & Canadian bacon on an everything bagel. I will definitely be coming back to try their lunch sandwiches! New favorite sandwich place in Durango? We shall see!

Honestly really good. Bagels are good quality, texture, flavor, freshness. Breakfast sandwich has the right balance of ingredients to it. The people working there are friendly and chill. I’ve been going here every other day for the past week or so while I’m in town.
Definitely a small spot; might get crowded or best to plan to take your stuff to go during busy hours.

Best breakfast bagel in town and staff and super friendly and chatty. At the edge of town near train station but well worth searching it out. They won’t disappoint!

Stopped in for breakfast at Durango Bagel before catching the train to Silverton. Unfortunately, I found the bagel and sandwiches to be overpriced and not particularly impressive in quality. It was the only spot open at the time and conveniently close to the station, which is why I chose it. Just being honest — not terrible, but definitely not worth the price in my opinion.

Cute little eatery with indoor and covered, outdoor seating. We had egg and cheese breakfast bagels and coffees. Quality of ingredients and the atmosphere were both really good. Thumbs up!
It was a little confusing regarding getting your food when it was ready. That was the only negative for me. We were outside next to the service window, and I guess they only call out orders inside when they’re ready.

Bagels are decent but there was only one person working there and the place was packed. The employee was doing a great job considering she was by herself. Me and the gentleman being me agreed that the place was to busy for just one person. I told the employee she was doing a good job and I can’t believe she was alone, she said the other employee who was supposed to be there shows up when she feels like it. Wow! I’m amazed that would be allowed.
They also cook their eggs in plastic and in the microwave! Not good.

The service was mediocre and it didn’t feel inviting. The food was way too pricey for what you receive. I got a bagel with cream cheese that had small flakes of salmon in it and it was $16. Not to mention my drink was watered down and cost $5.
Not only was the cream cheese not that great, it wasn’t applied well to the bagel and took re-spreading to cover the whole bagel.
