YALL- I gotta say something! We have been coming to Emps for YEARS & used to LOVE it, but something has gone terribly wrong the past 2 times. I am so scared I am going to get food poisoning. My “teriyaki” chicken tasted like rotten fish. I think they are using the same oil or grease and not ever cleaning it! The rice tasted like it too and to make it worse, I tried to pour sweet & sour sauce on it and it FELL OUT IN A STRINGY CLUMP!!! I think it was weeks old!! Food poisoning can become a serious medical condition and nothing to mess around with. Super uneasy about this & so disappointed. I don’t even want my money back, I’m just praying I don’t get sick

I have been here a few times and the food was good but this evening it was not good at ALL! Everything tasted like it was all cooked in the same sauce and the rice was hard with hardly any flavor. Very disappointing, especially after driving 15mins to get there and paying $55. Don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. No wonder no one was there.

Emporer’s on ridge has long been a family favorite for take out Asian cuisine. Generous portions, with excellent flavor. The only complaint I have is the lo mein has been inconsistent with varying quality of noodles. The rice is always on par though. Double dumpling Wednesday is a great time to visit. I would have rated it higher, but the lady at the counter gave our food order to a different customer and now we have to wait for our order to be remade.

I got the combo lo mein and it is so good! Really big portions lots of meat and the taste is great too.. kinda greasy but the flavor is so good I don’t even care. The two younger kids a girl and guy at the register did a good job too. The inside looks kinda sketch though, lol

Terrible experience. We have been eating here for years, but since they switched to online only ordering, the quality and service have diminished. Barely any meat with entrees and fillers add to the rice. Not to mention that quote times frequently go 20+ minutes over. We will not be going back anytime soon.

Fried rice was good. Dumplings only deep fried. Not steamed or skillet fried. They tasted like a deep fat fryer. No thanks. I ordered hibachi beef. My beef came looking like.. crock pot boiled beef. Nothing hibachi about it. I wonder if anyone knows what a hibachi grill is? When i ordered the hibachi beef i did not expect a generous serving of fried rice. Nothing on the menu says its served with rice. The menu is always with a glare on it and i can barely read it. Anyway.. im allergic to eggs so i cant eat their fried rice. Staff didnt care and didnt offer to replace my dish. I didnt sense the staff caring about much more than quickly boxing up fried rice for to-go order. lotsa folks [seem to] come for that. Great. Our 2 meals, 2 drinks and 6 overly deep fried dumplings were over $28. What?
Hey the dipping sauces were good. And the boiled beef was .. ok. I just put lotsa sauce on it. Like i did that time i was in Japan. The squash and mushrooms in a brown corn starch sauce was ok to taste … even if nothing like hibachi style. [Hibachi=grilled] note.. the beef was not chewey or tough. Good flavor. Decent proportions for a $14meal .. if you count the small mountain of fried rice Yay!

My favorite thing here is the Hibachi Chicken! It’s got Chicken, zucchini, onion and mushrooms with fried rice. I always order mine without mushrooms and extra onions.
Check for their daily specials! They offer carry out service that I’ve used many times. I’ve also enjoyed dining in. It’s a self service, walk up to the counter type place. They updated the dining room for social distancing.

i always loved going here! i don’t know what happened, but i got food from here yesterday— my stomach hurts so bad now. its honestly concerning, and i’m hoping i didn’t get food poisoning from the food. i got the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, by the way. the fried rice… didn’t look like fried rice. barely any taste.

I had the privilege of introducing my almost 88-yo friend to Emperor’s Japanese Grill. Not only was the food & the service exceptional ~ the staff treated my friend like a queen. The owner came to check on us, making sure everything exceeded our expectations. She even made sure we got out safely ~ my friend uses a walker.
Both of us were all smiles & we thoroughly loved our (her) “food adventure” (as she lovingly calls our new experiences.)
♡♡ Side note: I can’t adequately thank the beautiful soul at Emperor’s for the care & respect she showed to my friend. I wish our American culture was as reverent toward its elderly population. Blessings to the entire staff
