Old country place with lots of locals eating here. Busy place but it was big so we got a table right away.

Chicken Fried Steak – crispy. Not bad.

Biscuits with gravy – not bad

Corned beef hash – canned food. Not a fan.

Hash brown- plain but crisp and not greasy/oily.

Bread pudding- way too mushy and wayyy too sweet. Not recommended

Love this little place. Top notch home cooked meals and by far the fairest pricing. Order anything on the menu at anytime if I’m not mistaken. You gotta check it out.

The best breakfast experience I’ve had in Morgantown. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere immediately when you walk in is so welcoming and homey. And THE FOOD. Huge portions for such a great price. I can’t shut up about this place, and I highly recommend. I appreciate the staff for being so sweet and giving awesome service. GO HERE!!!!!

This is exactly what my wife and I look for. It’s a smaller place just off the beaten path with really good food and service! It looks like it was once a bar or tavern so don’t drive past it!
We had breakfast meals and they were really good. The service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place and will stop again when I am coming through!

Great breakfast overall! The blueberry hotcakes were delicious and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The biscuits were amazing, though the sausage gravy could’ve used more flavor. Home fries were a bit underdone and under-seasoned — a little more crisp and some salt, pepper, and paprika would really elevate them.
Service was a bit mixed: our waitress wasn’t very attentive and refills were slow, but the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful.
Even with the wait, I’d still recommend it. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely return.

My husband and I always look for restaurants off the beaten path, and this one did not disappoint! We loved the atmosphere, the service (Cati was SO friendly and helpful… a gem!), and the generous portions of food were phenomenal and very tasty! Cati recommended the deep-fried French toast, and it was amazing (thank you!)! We also ordered the Open Face and Country Fried Steak. Chef’s kiss

For me (a millennial) this is like a time portal to the late 90’s early 2000’s when our parents would take us to our favorite local diner on the weekends.

The hard to find breakfast place with great food, great staff and a lot of locals inside.

The kind of place you look for when you want home cooked food and want to avoid the big, chain breakfast places.

This was my 1st time here. I wanted a place to feel and taste like a grandma’s type of home-cooked meal.
Name says it all.
The food was great(can’t mess up breakfast), coffee was ok, atmosphere really felt like you’re eating at your grandma’s kitchen. Service was moderate had a local help out with the coffee but that made it even better feeling.
Now the cons or negatives: the owner really needs to do something about the smoke from the grill/deep fryer “Change the damn filters”!
Place opens at 7am, I got there 7:20am. The floors were never swept/mopped. It is a dirty place.
This isn’t something that you rate on, but every person behind the counter kitchen staff server, all had bad teeth. I normally don’t say anything about that but everyone….
Not giving it a perfect 5-star because that means excellent and well it isn’t.
The food is great though

Everything about this place is perfect. It’s cozy and everyone is friendly. The food is exactly what you would expect from the name. It’s delicious and comforting. There is a wait but it is absolutely worth it (everything is made to order). We will definitely be returning.
