Me and my friend came from 2 hours away just to try their collard greens and they were yummy but in my opinion the real stars of the show was the Crackaroni and cheese and the house made Kool aid! That blue Kool aid didn’t even make it out of the parking lot ahaha. I got a 4 wing meal with 2 aside, she did one sauce on 2 and another sauce on the other 2 and they were not greedy with it. I ate left overs 2 days later and it was still fantastic. The owners/couple were so friendly and easy to talk to. If we happen to be in Johnstown again I will make it a point to stop by again to definitely get a drink + crackaroni

Hands down, the most incredible dining experience of my life! The flavors in every dish were off the charts – truly the most flavorful food I’ve ever had. And the portions? The plates were piled high with generous servings! But what really made it special was the owners, who were some of the kindest, most genuine people my family and I have ever met. Every time I get food from here, it is amazing!!!! The flavors are always spot on! The chef and his wife are so nice and it is the best customer experience around! The prices are great for the portions you get! New thing I tried was their smaller wings with sauce and was not disappointed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good soul food!

The mac & cheese was next-level comfort food, the wings were , and the fries didn’t stand a chance. Even more impressive? My three kids (4 years, 18 months, and a 6-month-old) all ate here… which basically makes this place a miracle worker.
Huge shoutout to the incredibly kind lady who gave me warm water for my baby’s formula without hesitation. That small act of kindness meant a lot to a tired mom and made the experience even better.

AWESOME! Dropped the ball for our dinner plans, so I google restaurants. I saw they had a perfect reviews score. I thought BS no way. I am a bit of a food snob. Living in Altoona and just this area alone option are limited. Limited to quality. I that i mean flavor but I was 100% impressed! Our food was outstanding! I make Amazing collard greens and I gotta say so does the owner. I will drive the hour each way anytime to eat there. They are great people that know how to create good quality foods.

I genuinely can’t say anything about the atmosphere, because I’ve always had coworkers pick up when we ordered. It’s a DELIGHT when we get them. Honestly a little pricey, but I think it’s reasonable for the effort put in by the chefs, especially with a smaller business in Johnstown. But the chicken soul wrap is BEAUTIFUL, especially with the sauce. My coworker said she was interested in this place the other day, and I was so happy to finally get my second taste of their food. Also got to try their cornbread and AMAZINGLY seasoned fries. Also, the people who work there are so kind and sweet. Called to see about re heating my food because the soul wrap is low-key dense, and I had a lot to eat before I ordered it, and they gave me directions and we’re so sweet. Which makes me think they have solid values, when it comes to their food. So definitely try them out. I don’t get up to the mall much, but they make me consider it.
