The enchiladas were absolutely authentic, packed with rich flavor, and made just right. What really set them apart was the perfectly seasoned chicken layered on top—it added the perfect touch and balanced everything beautifully. To start off, I had the tostada de ceviche, which was loaded and full of fresh, vibrant flavor. Every bite was refreshing and delicious. Overall, the food here really impressed me, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Mexican dishes done right.

First time trying and everything was on point. Hot and fresh and authentic best tacos I’ve had in Birmingham and coming from Houston after living there 10 years I love tacos and not just on Tuesday but everyday and this place is great no gimmicks just good food and the people working there are very nice the owners son always has a smile on his face and friendly as is everyone else there. I will definitely be back again I’ve already been 2 times in 2 days and might be back tomorrow if time permits. Unfortunately these guys aren’t on Doordash or Uber eats because the owner doesn’t want to do it but he should at least give it a try because the food is good but everybody isn’t able to get to the restaurant to come try the delicious food.

Food was super authentic and NOT a cheese blob like “typical American Mexican”. There was flavor and a choice of normal condiments like cilantro, pickled onions, onions, cucumber & sauces.
They have beer and other “softer” drinks.
Recommended, but not that fancy experience. Way cheaper than a flight to Mexico to get the local vibe.

I found out about this place from a student of mine who would go here very frequently. I love good authentic Spanish food, so I was very eager to try this place out. I was not disappointed at all! These tacos are some of the best I have ever had, and I have had authentic food on my travels to Honduras. I always make a point to stop by and order at least two tacos when I am in the area. Be sure to stop by if you are in the area, and I promise you will not be disappointed.

If you find yourself near Birmingham, especially in the northern region near Center Pounte, stop by for lunch or dinner (sadly they do not serve breakfast, but I’ll net it would also be amazing). You will not regret it!

Best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. I have been kind of obsessed with finding these small, out-of-the-way, inexpensive taco places after accidentally discovering a really good one in Louisville Kentucky . This one was even better.
Grilled tacos , delicious shrimp tostada and pork tamale for us. One unique aspect of this restaurant compared to others, is that they bring out fresh chopped cilantro, onions, pickled onions, limes, fresh cucumber slices and an avocado sauce. They also have very good red and green sauces, along with sour cream in 3 squeeze dispensers. This allows you to get as much of the good stuff as you like , the way you want it, at the table. Honestly, I’m kind of spoiled by this now. You can really work in the hotter sauces if you know how ample sour cream is an option. The cooling effect of the sliced cucumbers and pickled onions has similar benefit.
We went for a late lunch, . So, I can’t really comment on typical crowd etc., but the price was great. A lot of food for under $25 . I would give anything to have a place like this within driving distance of our home , instead of an hour away.

This place is amazing! My favorite taco place for sure! I hardly get to come because I don’t live in the area, but when I am near by I make sure to stop. I literally tell everyone about this place who isn’t familiar with it. The tacos are so good and the enchiladas omg.
