Jo-Bawb’s BBQ started as a competition BBQ team. They learned the art by competing in BBQ competitions and taking classes from the top Pitmasters in the nation. Jo-Bawb’s has earned many 1st place awards in all meat categories (chicken, ribs, pork and brisket). Jo-Bawb’s was ranked in the top 20 BBQ teams of the Kansas City BBQ Society. Jo-Bawb’s has been invited and competed in the most prestigious BBQ competitions in the world including the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational, The American Royal, Sam’s Club National BBQ Competition and The Smithfield King of the Smokers. Went to Jo-Bawb’s BBQ in OKC for late lunch on a Saturday. There was no wait/line. It’s like a permanent food truck/smoker that’s been there for 6 years. Owners are from Wyoming. Took a tour of the trophy room of wal to wall accolades. The brisket was lean, fall apart, with great flavor. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious. The pulled pork surprised me with a hint of sweetness. The burnt ends were excellent. Wasn’t too keen on their jalapeño sausage, but still good. I went for a try of there Mac and Pork and it was a perfect combo of sweet pork, spicy jalapeño, and comfort, made from scratch mac and cheese. There are not very many BBQ places in OKC metro that I would recommend, but I plan to visit here again.

We are new to OKC and I found the perfect joint. Jo-Bawb’s BBQ is the Real McCoy!!!
We took our meal to go but I wish we stayed. It was a lovely experience eating BBQ from an Award winning professional. Our BBQ Pit Boss allowed us behind the scenes to see all of their awards. You do not win these awards by being mediocre…I wish you could smell these photos!! Get in your car and drive out and taste this BBQ…I guarantee you will walk away a happy camper.

Got there at 11 on a Saturday and was first but the parking lot had 5 cars (multiple people per car) by 11:10 when i left. They close when the food is gone.
Got ribs, jalapeños sausage, pork sandwich and all four sides. Don’t miss out on the ribs and the Mac and cheese, so good. The sausage was good but I’ll try something else next time. Potatoes salad was really good and chunky. Beans were solid and smokey. Cole slaw needed more something, not sure what… it was crisp which was good.
The inside seating is a very cool add on, even has a restroom.
Prices have increased from what i saw on the website so reference the image (you’ll have to zoom in due to the glare, sorry).
Over all very good stuff…I know why they won so many contests. Best ribs around in my humble but correct opinion. I’ll try the brisket and burnt end next time!

The best bbq we tried in the US and we are not kidding. Oklahoma is our last 50th state to visit and we wanted to try something local. Found this place and was so impressed! The quality of the meat is incredible, the owners are kind and very nice people – was so interesting to know more about bbq competitions! Lon and Joanne are real professional and the food speaks for itself! Just try it – great taste!

5 stars in my book. Jo-Bawb’s BBQ has their own unique taste. I had the sliced brisket, pulled pork, ribs, mac n chez and bbq baked beans ….all which was fantastic. Try their hot bbq, it’s not just hot to be hot, it has flavor. Service was excellent. Owners has a minute to visit with us and show their impressive awards.
They do have a place you can eat on site, picnic table area.

Jo-Bawb is the real deal, this is barbecue focused on quality and nothing gets in his way. We’ve got a lot of award winning bbq in the metro, but you can tell Jo-Bawb is a pro and also a treat to talk to serving up the best brisket in the city and best burnt ends from here to KC. Swing by earlier rather than later because he sells out quick!

The ribs were delicious and the brisket burnt end was good too but i like the rib better. The bbq chicken, i was not impressed because it raw from the inside so i end up throw it away. Just don’t buy the chicken quarter leg.

Hands down some of the best bbq ive had in the metro! If you dont know what you want get the sampler. Brisket, ribs, and pulled pork with beans and potato salad. Also add the delicious mac and cheese! So creamy and good!
