Twin city Diner, the review from a visiting Swede.

The interior might be modest, but speaking to the new owner of the establishment quickly made me feel at home.

The burger was filling and fresh, cooked to a T! But the fries! My god, might be the best ones I’ve ever tasted.

Great place, put some respect on its name.

Favorite breakfast spot; honestly the best in town. Can’t beat the prices, the food is absolutely delicious, and the staff members are awesome! Pictured here is the “biddeford pool”, which is my favorite… I get it every time The omlette was a steak and cheese special they ran. We ate the blueberry muffin faster than I could picture it, but their baked goods never miss and are an awesome bonus to grab even just to take home for later.

Came here for brunch with my friend. The diner is cute and has homey vibes. I like their decorations, they still had the holiday spirit going which was refreshing. The staff were nice and timely with the service. The coffee was great, I got the eggs Benedict which were absolutely delicious. My friend also liked her food the Biddeford breakfast. The prices are very reasonable and affordable in this economy, everyone can still enjoy a good breakfast.

This place has a ton of potential – the location is picturesque, and I can see myself having a really nice time enjoying some pancakes during a snow day. That said – I wont be coming back anytime soon. My wife and I did not have a positive experience this morning.

It was noticably warm in the lobby, and they also were out of ice. We ordered and they ended up being out of the real maple syrup on the menu, and the homefries. When the cook mentioned this in our ear shot – who we assumed was the manager said “Well good luck with that.” They ended up subbing them out, but we really wanted those things.

When we got our pancakes I noticed sparce uncooked globs of flour, and they also had a very firm texture – we did not finish them. They were likely bad because they were mixed in a 3-4L measuring cup. This is alarming as the uncooked flour is a safety hazard as undercooked flour can carry E coli.

In addition to seeing the pancakes being made in that measuring cup, I saw oranges stored on the ground, missing floor tiles, and the kitchen itself was a dissaster, all of which may be health code violations depending on the state? I was a restaraunt manager in Texas for some time, and we would be in trouble if someone inspected and saw these things. I could also be somewhat harsh here. I do not work here, and maybe everything is up to code – I am simply saying that I was made uncomfortable by the state of the kitchen. Finally, the food iteself was not memorable either.

This is not a huge deal, but the service was not fantastic either. Our server started vacuming while we were eating, and was eating lunch herself. Fair, we were the only table, but still.

The manager should really step up his game. It takes 10-20 minutes to run to shaws to get potatos, and syrup, step in and vaccum, or help clean the kitchen during a rush. Instead, who I assume was the manager was sitting at one of the tables. It is simple to make sure your cook is preparing food safely and cleanly, and has adequate places to store food.

I hate to sound like a Karen, and I fear I do – I was just really hoping we would like this place, and now I wasted my morning and $45 on a meal I didn’t enjoy.

Can’t rate the food because it never came. We ended up leaving before it even was started, I fear. Sat for an hour total before giving up to leave. The server was nice but took other orders (from folks who arrived after us) before ours. Also ordered a juice I had to ask for from someone else because it took 30 mins. It was three of us with two very young children who were all smiles and well behaved for the fifty five minutes but then got fussy. The fussiness is my problem I know- but, when a table of five adults arrives well after you and orders before you and gets their food before you… not good. Won’t be back.

We came here two weeks ago and sat at the bar where we can see into the kitchen. Honestly it was pretty off putting watching them cook without gloves and then one of the cooks scratched his head then grabbed our breakfast burrito to roll it up with his hands. The sinks weren’t used once while we sat there for probably an hour watching them cook all their meals. They couldn’t wash their hands because their sinks were filled with raw food. I mean it was pretty gross. One cook came out to see and hold his toddler grandchildren which is great, but then to go back and cook using bare unwashed hands and again touch food. We saw food drop out of a dish and they picked it up and just put it back onto the dish. Literally nothing was washed because the sinks had raw food in them…. We were so disgusted overall with the kitchen and the sanitation, that we will not be coming back.

Overall, an amazing experience!
Very nice workers, who let me in before they were officially open, so I didn’t have to stand and wait outside! Very kind patrons and environment, I had Eggs Benedict and it was amazing! Highly recommend going and trying any of their food. They have a great chef!

Was here today , our waitress was great . You can tell she was new , so I don’t really understand the review below . Or the other negative review my wife and I happen to hear the conversation take place and the waitress did everything she could and was suppose to the group came In sat themselves the owner went right over and greets them I was with my family of two children and my wife. They were very very busy with one server on and one cook .
Great staff and great food

That group of kids straight up mocked and made fun of a disabled person wheeling by and the waitress did nothing. But kindly ask them not to speak about people like that and informed them he was a regular. I left a $15 tip after that . Twin city has been a staple of Biddeford for a long time. We will keep coming back.
