Reviews
If I’m being honest- it was expensive for what we got. I ordered a set with Bulgogi and Kimchi Stew, and my brother got LA Galbi. We got a side of fried dumplings for apps.
Unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations.
My bulgogi was overpowered by sesame oil, and the jiggae was of the same taste as a store bought sauce packet. Even my brother who loves stew but can’t handle spice said it was bland. The dumplings were fine but 6 pieces for that price is basically a rip.
However the galbi and the rest of the dishes came out on sizzling platters, and clay pots, that made the experience feel a little better in addition to the decor.
But for the quality of the Korean Menu, you would definitely find a better taste elsewhere.
If you’re going to Menya, definitely order from their Japanese Menu instead.
5.5/10 Chicken Buns
5/10 Miso Soup
The k-fried chicken is tasty but it is soggy and barely crunchy. The miso soup tasted diluted with not much flavor and the chicken buns was barely flavored.
This is not the way a “Proud business” treats its well paying (and well tipping customers!!!)
You have NO HONOR… shame on you!
Absolutely pathetic service and business standards. Never ever going there back!!!
Avoid if you can!
The ramen is okay for a quick lunch, though I found the broth a bit lacking in flavor, so I wouldn’t necessarily come here for an indulgent dinner. The gyoza, however, was a highlight, and I’d happily return for that. Service was quick, and our food arrived super fast. Overall, a solid meal and a convenient spot if you’re looking for a casual, filling bite.
The ramen wasn’t bad, very basic but did the trick. Pork was not good, would recommend trying a different meat? Not chicken either lol
It’s BYOB so if you’re drunk, then maybe just get the ramen.
