Excellent Excellent Excellent is what I said to our waiter! The location, the friendly greeting from the manager, sitting outside, our friendly and efficient waiter. My wife & I ordered the Sole fish and the John Dory fish plates. White wine along with sparkling water. Tarter Tatin & Mousse de Chocolat was our dessert and a after coffee to relax. Everything was well prepared and presented nicely! We cannot say enough how pleased we were. It’s some 30 meters off the main Boulevard but well worth a try! 5 ⭐️

This was recommended to us from a tour guide living in Paris – she was not wrong. We were seated quickly by the manager who greeted us and then quickly switched to English. We went with the calamari for starter, the scallops and the shrimp risotto for mains, and tatin and baba for dessert. The calamari was great – served on large pieces and cooked to perfection. The scallops were also amazing, cooked perfectly with a sauce that was absolutely delectable. The risotto was outstanding but the shrimp was overdone – Aussie critique. The tatin was also beautiful, covered in almond slices. The baba was a beautiful sponge cake stewing in a sweet rum sauce that was intoxicating. The service was amazing throughout the meal. Excellent meal – highly recommend.

From the point of view of an American – this place was top notch. The food was excellent, and the waiter was able to explain their French only chalkboard menu in English to me, along with providing recommendations when I couldn’t decide. I was so pleased with this meal and that it was my last before leaving Paris, great last impression!

Okay, seriously, Le Bistrot du Dôme? It’s my new happy place. I went there, and OMG, the “encornets” (calamari) stole the show. Tender, juicy, and just a burst of flavors.
I also had The Sole, which was so fresh and every bite was delicious. For dessert, the Mille Feuille—it was a sweet indulgence that wrapped up the evening on a perfect note.
The ambiance exudes classic Parisian charm, and the attentive service added to the overall enjoyment. Le Bistrot du Dôme is a culinary haven, and I highly recommend savoring the encornets along with exploring the diverse menu for a truly unforgettable dining experience. ️
