Shrimp taco, avacado torta, veggie sandwich, the kids menu is value price. The kids menu comes with drink, side of fries or rice and beans, and a sweet dish. The portions are small but are also priced lower than others. Good ambience. Small place. Feels cozy. Am ok e parking. Tight on Ogden.

My first time here and I got the green chilaquiles with two over medium eggs and the rice and beans on the side with a margarita. I ate the entire thing so no pictures to share lol. I use to work in a restaurant so I very much appreciated this entire restaurant for what it is- an OG spot I’m sure to all the locals! I’m visiting the area from California so we drove past the downtown area and saw all these mainstream restaurants and nothing really stood out so we drove a little more into the city and voila we saw this cutesy restaurant with an outside dining area and pulled over here! The parking was top tier as they had a full parking lot right beside the restaurant vs just parking on the curb. I was able to taste how the beans were frijoles de la olla so that’s a bonus because most places nowadays just serve refried beans so it’s really nice to find authentic Mexican spots that still use frijoles de la olla! The rice was yummy and so were my chilaquiles ofc!! I asked for more sauce and they were kind enough to bring me plenty more which I was super hyped about bc I’m a big sauce girl! The service was GREAT! The venue itself gives a real homey feeling- definitely able to tell how it is family owned so you know they take pride in their food and overall customer service and it honestly made the entire experience just overall 10/10 I will definitely be returning and trying another dish here Thank you to Hector, the man at the counter who was tending to the restaurant with nothing but a smile on his face!

First and last time for us. Nice staff. Overpriced for what it was. Small portions. Not that fresh and lacking in taste. The server failed to inform me there was a $5 additional for the mole chilaquiles that made me sick a few hours later. I rather eat at Chipotle thousands of times which is better and enjoyable.

This place is a hidden gem. I came here to go to galloping ghost across the street and wanted dinner, so we walked right across the street. And this is some of the best Mexican i have ever had. The portions are gigantic.I couldn’t believe it. The service is amazing and the staff is super friendly. We sat outside and listened to music And ate and drank! You won’t be disappointed.

My son and I stopped by last night and sat outside as the weather was phenomenal.
We decided the steak burrito and the taco dinner were calling to us. Sharing both plates was not on the menu but a part of our plan…
Both selections were very tasty!
My son reminded me that I used to pile he and his sister in the bike trailer, while keeping an eye on his other sister riding her bike to ride there for lunch. Not only did he make me feel old(ish) but also surprised we were able to make the (about) 1mile ride there as little as they were.
We’ve enjoyed going to La Cabanita since Ralphy and his dad were tending to the customers and miss them both.
Very good food and quick service.

The food was great but a tad pricey but the service made up for it, the man working who I assume is the owner was so nice and quick with his service- will definitely return!

Went to LaCabanita because it open late. The staff was very friendly and funny. Must be family owned. I prefer that. Great selection of food on the menu. Ordered a few items and they all were delicious. Highly recommend.

It’s alright. Although the food tastes good, it’s not entirely authentic. My milanesa came out good, though a bit soggy with melted cheese on top for some reason. The salad was underneath it all so by the time I started eating, it was partially cooked from the heat. Beans were highly puréed so I suspect they may have been canned. Gorditas appear fried or partially fried and again, the lettuce was cooked from the heat. Prices were good so if you just want something semi authentic this is a good choice. Great service though!!

Amazingly tasty dish!! This is Chilaquiles. It’s only $8.75 and can definitely feed two people! And comes with 2 or 3 eggs (forgot if it’s was 2 or 3). Choices of green or red spice. I always take the red spice. Probably the spiciest dish I have ever had in my life by incredibly tasty! I always drive 20-25 minutes from Chicago to eat this. Worth it!!
