Coming from Montreal, we have some solid sushi spots but this place surprisingly impressed me. We got the sushi lunch set and the chirashi. The portion of fish was GENEROUS and the fish tasted fresh. The slices were thick and I really enjoyed the coho salmon. The roles also seemed interesting and would like to try them next time. It is in a motel and the chefs seem to be Korean but the food quality and value is there! Stop by on your way to Tofino!!

We came in right before their afternoon break and yet were graciously seated and quickly served. We got the Tsunami Roll, which was amazing and the Deep Fried California Roll, also amazing. I was too hungry to take pictures but wish I had. Food was beautiful. AND fresh and delicious. This is really our favorite restaurant in Port Alberni. We have never had a bad meal there.

Our new favourite place. Just as you pull into Port Alberni look off to your left. You will see timber Lodge, RV and Campground and as you’re driving, make that turn and stop in the timber Lodge sushi. this place is absolutely incredible from the ambiance of the place. You could sit on the deck you could watch the TV. You could sit in a separate room. There is so many places for you to enjoy your dinner. Parking is very ample so again no worries about seating or a place to park now let’s talk about the staff. The staff the lady serving the food. You cannot believe how fast they get to the table and how welcoming they are. Freshwater a quick drink and then your meals comes out and wait till you see what they bring out for you. I highly recommend this place for everything that it has to offer. Don’t pass this stop here in Port Alberni. Sushi is where to go and this is the sushi place to go to. I should also mention they have other things on their menus like french fries and things like that for the people that might not like the sushi. I will throw up a couple of photos. I took yet once again please think about stopping here because it is a great place to enjoy a wonderful meal.

Food was okay, but I was looking forward to going out to dinner just last night & from the moment my friend, baby and I sat down we were treated quite poorly. You could say it was “busy” but really wasn’t anything more than I’ve seen in any other restaurant. The server accidentally dumped water all over the table from her tray, didn’t apologize, that’s fine.. then proceeded to rush us from the jump. I let that go and proceeded with my order although I had already felt anxiety about the entire interaction. 5 mins pass and the table beside us was passed the wrong dish and that same server didn’t even look our way nor say anything to us but tossed this dish directly on our table and rushed past, she was half an inch away from hitting my baby with a random dish that I didn’t order. Then she brought me over a dish I also did not order, so I kindly said “I didn’t order this” and told her what I asked for, and she argued with me infront of the other customers, pretty embarassing, no apology, just attitude. I have never had an issue here prior to this, I’m dissapointed and I will get takeout if I ever come back 100%. I paid for my entire meal in full after being argued with and snapped at by this waitress 3x, and never once did I recieve an apology from her. Although, thank you kindly to the lady who seated us and helped me pack my food to go, she was kind and treated us with respect.
Being busy is no excuse to treat your customers poorly, sorry if my baby was bothering you miss, but she was just happy and hungry lol.

Found a new favorite sushi place for date nights! By far the BEST sushi in town! Me and my hubby have had the delight of coming here because our regular place was sold out. Needless to say we can’t go back to our regular place after eating here. Our new favorite! The menu oh the menu sooo much to choose from and we love having variety. This is the go to place. The waitress was very kind, always smiling, even cracked a couple jokes. What a great environment. Clean and friendly all around. 10/10 recommend!

Nothing quite like a metal glass to drink water out of!! The condensation on the outside of the glass makes you know it’s gonna be refreshing right when it hits the table! Good sushi too!

Service is always great for us. Over the past couple years the quality of the food has been hit or miss a few times. I’d say over the past year we have had 3 meals that were not up to the usual standard.

Most of our table had ok rolls but not great a few of us had some good rolls. Pretty basic rolls for ordering the same thing I order at other sushi places that are made with many more toppings and fillers compared to here.
