This delicious taco place is a must-visit in NOLA. The sauces provided added a nice kick to the tacos! There was limited seating on the inside but I didn’t get a chance to check out the outdoor seating. I was fascinated by the prettily colored wall art

8.5/10 I didn’t care for how the price for each taco was at the time. There were some complex flavors, but most of the seasoning was basic. The atmosphere was nice especially the back patio area and the staff were nice and patient when trying to figure out what I should get.

Nice Tacos but highlights were the shrimp tamales and brisket empanadas, along with the great selection of sauces.
Topped nachos were fine.
Really enjoyed the watermelon margarita, so refreshing.
Lovely outdoor space in the yard and very quick service.

:: sigh:: I’m really sad to write this but… THESE WERE THE WORST TACOS IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. What’s even more disheartening, is that I’ve lived in New Orleans for a year and never EVER had a bad food experience. Mind you- I have eaten out everyday for almost 365 days. NOLA is known for its always fresh & super tasty foods. These tacos caught me by surprise. I mean clutch pears – surprised. I spent $15 for 3 tacos (no drink included). The tacos itself tasted like the entire thing was deep fried in vegetable oil. The backyard was cute tho & by the reviews it looks like the drinks might be a go. The tacos tho??? NO BUENO.

Rosalita’s Backyard Tacos is my favorite taco spot in the city. Their tacos are fantastic, the margaritas are delicious, and I love the little salsa bar options. Plenty of space for outdoor seating — perfect for a pretty day.

Pork Belly Tacos were pretty good. I tried them with both the flour and corn tortillas, and both versions were fine, with the corn tortillas holding together quite well without breaking.
Guacamole for the chips was prepared simply & classically with just avocado and lime.
There are two hidden dining area in the back, which are open-air.

The food was very good, a little pricey, but the quality made up for it. The guacamole was delicious, it wasn’t traditional, which is perfectly fine, it was delicious! I will be back, to try more of the menu! The elotes were very good. The quesadilla was huge and very reasonably priced! Look forward to coming back. Try the watermelon lemonade!

It’s places like this that make me really love New Orleans. I really like the vibe of this place. The backyard area is so nice.
We had the brisket, carne asada, and pork tacos. The watermelon drink is really delicious too. I would definitely return to this place.

First time trying Rosalitas. I enjoyed the black bean burrito and salsas but the rest of the food was not very good. Chille relleno, guacamole, chips were disappointing. Nice outdoor seating area.

Rosalita’s Backyard Tacos is an extremely creative taco hole in the parking lot next to your home spot. The service is excellent and the menu is short and sweet with something for every type of foodie.
As mentioned, the tacos are indeed creative and good. I would suggest everyone try it once if in the area, but the food is not great enough for me to crave and visit evey once in the while.
We ordered the nachos with chicken, chicken tacos, and taquitos. The nachos do not come with melted cheese as the staff was kindly informed in advance. I think that takes away from nachos though. Still good.
Rosalita’s is a spot that I would go to only if I was in the area. But I bet these tacos are great with a beer or spirit.
