I visited Bluestone Coffee Company solo last weekend and left genuinely impressed. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was warm, attentive, and unpretentious—the kind that makes you want to stay instead of rushing out.
The food was excellent and thoughtfully prepared, with generous portion sizes and ridiculously fresh fruit. I also appreciated the variety of healthy options that don’t sacrifice flavor. And the cappuccino? Smooth, rich, and absolutely on point.

Stopped in for breakfast. Staff was nice and the food came out pretty fast. The place reminds me of a local diner with the standard fare. Nothing was amazing. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my husband ordered 2 Eggs with a side of bacon (greasy). Both came with potatoes (also greasy). Portions were decent as well as the prices especially for Montclair.

We were a group of 4 plus 1 baby on. Sunday lunchtime and were seated right away. If you’re a bigger group, then booking is recommended.
The food was all good and arrived efficiently, our server was friendly but a slow since it was v busy. They did however bring the food for the baby very quickly.
We sampled a variety of savoury and sweet dishes, of which all were good portions and won’t leave you hungry.
There is seating in and outdoors and a restroom out the back.

Your able to seat yourself, specials board sometimes is hard to see but once your able to read it you don’t want to order anything other than the specials. I ordered the chicken vegetable soup which was hot and delicious. The sandwich list was tough to decide on as there were so many good options.

What makes this place a 5-star? The friendly service with a smile. This place is very cozy and quaint. It is no wonder that it is a popular joint. I can only imagine how busy it is on the weekends. There are plenty of seating inside and about 3 to 4 tables in front. Latte art is one of the best that I have seen… as it should be or not, but I highly appreciated it. The blueberry scone was crumbly and dry, but with the help of the jam, it made it better. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Breakfast was ok. Didn’t get to try the coffee. I worked a Spanish omelet comes with sour cream and salsa which I figured would come on the side but they just slapped it on the omelet. Didn’t like that. The omelet was average taste not worth the $14 and I even added cheese to it. The potatoes that came on it just tasted like potatoes. The multigrain toast was ok they added butter but couldn’t taste any flavor of the butter. The French toast was also on the average side. Meal came out to $30 just on the food which is overpriced on basic food. Nothing worth coming back to try out again

I really enjoyed my coffee and espresso at the Bluestone. Didnt get a chance to order a full breakfast, but I have heard nothing but great things. I loved the outdoor seating. The workers were really nice and would be a place I would love to visit again sometime soon. Will always support local businesses.
