I came here to grab some sandwiches for a picnic lunch the next day. The owners were very friendly and had recommendations, and packaged the food up in foil so it would hold up better. She also put the vinaigrette topping in a to go container so it wouldn’t make the bread soggy.

The meat is very rich, and the jam in the ham sandwich and the pepper relish were both absolutely fantastic. The sandwiches were generously sized and we were very satisfied afterwards. We’ll definitely be back in the future.

What a fantastic little eatery! Gourmet sandwiches, cheese boards, wine and beer! The Free Bird sandwich explodes with flavor! Will definitely return and highly recommend! The owners are super friendly and the place has a nice, relaxing vibe!

This is my 3rd time eating here and it does not disappoint. The boards are delightful. The sandwiches are delicious. The daily salad always has a great combination of flavors. You must try the deviled eggs. Their wine selection is spectacular and it just makes for a perfect lunch or happy hour. I highly recommend the Cork and Ladder.

Pretty good! I like the concept as a small space you can pop in for a light bite and a drink. Good mid-afternoon break spot.

Sandwich was good. I appreciate good bread and quality ingredients.

If anything, an opportunity for improvement I think would be to have a bit more pantry/provisions stuff available, but what they did have looked pretty good.

I could for sure see coming in again.

As a local, this is one of our favorite spots in Durango. Sandwiches are made with high quality, fresh ingredients and taste amazing. Great beer and wine selection. Laid back vibes. Super awesome staff. It’s a true hidden gem. This spot rivals what you find in bigger cities, which is rare for Durango. Highly recommend!

We got a salad, sandwich, and a kombucha. Fair pricing for the downtown area. In the old Sutcliffe winery spot- the new owners have transformed the space, including adding air conditioning! Unique food selection from the typical spots around town. They were sold out of deviled eggs and I will be returning to try those! (Sandwich photo was after we ate the first half. Salad photo was after we’d had several bites, I’d say they have generous portions.)

I was already a fan of Cork and Larder from enjoying shareable plates in store and buying the occasional cheese to home use. But this past weekend I ordered a cheese, charcutiere, and a crudite platter for a family solstice celebration and wow! it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. the green goddess dressing was a huge hit among many delicious things. ordering and picking up were pretty easy. I will aboslutely do this again. Thank you!

So far, three visits, three of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Delicious combination of flavors – fresh bread. Friendly, knowledgeable service. Outdoor and indoor seating – also a bar. Much needed gourmet option for downtown Durango.

Quite Tasty Sandwiches! I just finished up work nearby and was meaning to try the place out. I stepped inside and the staff quickly greeted me with a friendly smile. Even took the time to explain their sandwiches when I wasn’t sure, and taste test The Honey Habanero Apricot sauce they use from Honeyville, quite a rich and only slightly spicy flavor. I had the “I can Hold your Ham” sandwich if I recall. Amazing! Especially the Goat Cheese and Bread they serve with it.

My only regret was being a little pressed for time otherwise I would have stayed and tasted some of the wine they had, the options seemed fantastic especially their Rosé wine. I’ll be sure to stop by another time when I can.

Super tasty sandwiches made with local bread. I love the Free Bird turkey sandwich, as someone with a lot of food aversions, it’s a delight to find different tastes and textures that I like. The Free Bird is a great balance of flavors and textures (good bread, creamy cheese, crunchy apple slaw, a blend of savory and a little sweet). Easy location to walk to right off Main or usually there is parking on 8th right in front. Owner is lovely and really cares about quality food for a good price.
