We’ve been coming here for years to celebrate family milestones—what started as six of us is now eight, with babies born and grown along the way. The owners, a wonderful husband-and-wife team, make you feel like part of the family, and their care shows in every detail.

The space is cozy and inviting, the food is consistently outstanding, and the desserts are absolutely delicious—you truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The paella, in particular, is unmatched in the Bay Area; even Telefèric’s doesn’t come close.

And the place does not blast music, so you can actually talk! And hear what is being said to you!

We will keep coming!

Lovely place. The restaurant has an old world feel, quaint, and cozy inside. They have happy hour from 4-6pm with delicious small plates, and cocktails. We ordered the lobster paella, fried artichokes, and the Montadito De Lomo… all spectacular. Truly authentic cusine.

Parking is not bad if you arrive early. Bartender was friendly. My only complaint is how warm it was inside while sitting at the bar. The other side of the restaurant seemed much cooler. Could have been a female thing.

Overall, delicious cuisine —will visit again.

Tucked away on a quiet stretch of El Camino Real in Belmont, this restaurant is a hidden gem in the Bay Area food scene.

Serving a variety of traditional Spanish fare, such as paella, pulpo a la brasa, and tortilla de patatas, along with many other tapas, this beautiful restaurant offers a tranquil, intimate atmosphere ideal for romantic dinners and special occasions.

They also have a cozy bar area with couches and a more casual dining space, making it a great spot for relaxed get-togethers, especially during happy hour.

My favorite dish is the callos a la madrileña (trotter and tripe stew). I would return to this place just for that dish any chance I get.

Wonderful place. Charming, old world atmosphere. Jose Luis truly has a gem! Vanessa was a fabulous server and food was delicious! I’m looking forward to coming back soon. *PS: the heart on Calamari photo didn’t come that way, I used the roasted pepper strip served with the dish to make it, but it sure describes how I felt about it!

The food was delicious, we had some of the best wine we’ve had in ages, the service was prompt and professional, and the atmosphere was lovely. This place is such a gem. We’ve tried a few paellas around the bay and this was easily the best (Zuzu in Napa was excellent as well). It reminded me of some of the best meals we’ve had in Europe, and I’m just waiting for some family to visit to have an excuse to go back.

Randomly found this spot last year but was quite difficult to walk in without reservation so reservations are highly recommended…but why you ask? Well put simply great paella made as close to homemade as I have seen in Bay area…they are in the pricey side but we’ll put together and most importantly very tasty and crispy enough. Tried the Iberian paella which is their most popular and I can see why..balanced with chicken and pork but also seafood. There is one salad option which is good along with many traditional tapas and good selecion of wines and Spanish beers. Inside feels like a club house with rich materials and warm lighting and full back wall bar. There is bar seating which is nice for walk ins but with limited seating. Parking is ample on street and is free. Service is limited and thin when place is full and so don’t go if you are in a time pinch…but rather a night out…place is on small side inside so large groups should call ahead for accommodations. Whether legal or not Service charges are automatically added to tab at about 20% so be prepared in case you are not accustomed yo this charge. Overall good place to try for food and ambiance in Belmont.

Really great authentic Spanish cuisine, some of the tapas were a bit on the expensive end for the portions but the paella is amazing. Service was great – no complaints.

Iberia is a cute restaurant with lots of dishes to choose from! It’s conveniently located on el Camino real but parking might be an issue since it’s street parking. Overall food is good but on the pricy side, service is also pretty good

Bread service – at first I was not happy we had to pay for bread but the selection and taste of the bread made it worth it!
Gambas al ajillo – the prawns were very good and the sauce was delicious. A bit on the salty side
Stuffed squid – wasn’t super memorable. The presentation was unique because of the squid ink but taste was okay
Scallop on toast – I really enjoyed this one. The scallop was fresh and the layer of salmon mousse on the toast really elevated the flavor, each order comes with 2 scallops
King oyster mushroom – well flavoured but on the salty side. It was also drenched in oil which I did not like
Bacon wrapped dates – the combination of the sweetness from the date and savoury taste from the bacon makes this a perfect starter, each order comes with 6
Bomba – Really yummy and flavourful. Each order is 1 big piece
100% jamon iberico – I was slightly disappointed at this. I’ve had iverico ham in Spain and this just didn’t taste as fatty or tender. Each order has 4 pieces of toast
Small paella – they gave a good amount of protein and it was yummy, but I prefer the paella at telerific Barcelona more for the slightly burnt bottom
Pistachio cake – highly recommend this one! Flavor is well balanced and I love the texture the small pistachio chunks add
3 layer cake – a bit too sweet for me but others enjoyed it a lot

Cute and cozy place. Food is good. But honestly for an informal tapas place charging 20 percent service charge is unacceptable in my opinion. This is by no means a high touch, high service restaurant. We are less likely to rush back honestly due to 20 percent mandatory service fee.

The food is five stars. One paella was enough for two. We didn’t get anything else. It was filled with fresh, great ingredients like scallops, shrimps, sausage, squid, green bean, tomato, beans – every bite was a delight!!

But it’s pricey – $40 + 20% service charge + 10% tax. And the wait was half an hour, but I guess because it’s prepared carefully 🙂

The hazelnut praline dessert had crunchy golden bits of sweet delicious goodness. So good.
