We were in Cortland and I wanted a burger ! We remembered Hobos won a burger contest ,so let’s go. The place is clean and nice its a sport bar that happens to have great food. The bartender / waitstaff/ is all things. She told us the soup of the day was lemon chicken . Great two cups please I wanted burger rare ,I got it with Swiss cheese , mushrooms
And top with brown gravy! Outstanding but back to the soup I told you the bar-person/ wait person/ But did I not tell you she makes the soup fresh everyday as well . I have been in foodservice over 40 years and this young lady is a good a chef as I have seen . Lainee is her name and soup is her game ! PS we bought two bowls of soup to go ! We will be stopping more for her service and great soup skills

I don’t normally do this but I’m beside myself. I just paid $26.00 for a cheese burger and fries and after one bite into the burger it was completely raw on the inside. I will never go back here again.

This place was a last-minute stop, but boy it didn’t disappoint. Our waitress went over the menu and suggested a few item which we did try. They are know for their burgers, which were very good. Over larger portions for the price. Food was very hot and cooked well. Prices for drinks seemed low to fair. I highly recommend a stop in here, and we’ll be back.

Uniquely named restaurant has a good vibe. The fried chicken sandwich and onion ring i had was super crunch and crispy. Service was good. No wonder so many customers at the bar around 3pm.

2023: I ordered a hobos burger wrapped in lettuce with bacon and a side of their hand cut fries. The burger was sooo good! I’ll definitely be back for another sometime. The last time I was here I ordered a chicken speidie salad and it was yummy too.

I’ve been back many times and have noticed the food is not consistently good. Frequently orders get screwed up and today my chicken speidie salad came out wrong. They took it back and fixed it. I was sooo hungry but was patient. They brought it back and I took a bite and the marinated chicken was too tough to eat. My boyfriend said his steak sandwich wasn’t that good and his fries were clearly over fried and practically burned. The speidie salad at Dashers is a better choice than Hobo’s. Interesting since it’s owned by the same family. Disappointing food and a huge waste of money. The other thing we noticed was that prices have doubled, which is understandable but apparently prices have doubled and the quality has decreased…won’t be going back any time soon and I’ll stop recommending it as a favorite place to eat.

Went here for lunch , nice looking little place , food was average, small portions for the price and the potato chips were half soaked in pickel juice . Server looked miserable and never once check on us after the food came out,

Great food reasonable prices. And a selection that cannot be beat. Ordered our burgers medium well, shoulda done medium but that is our fault, not theirs as it was our first time. Still amazing.

Not impressed. Food took forever to come. I asked for a refill on my drink and was forgotten about. They gave me the wrong wings so more waiting while everyone else at our table had thier plates. (6 adults for reference and one child.) I had asked for extra blue cheese and they forgot to bring me the extra blue cheese when I got the correct wings. When I got the wings I only ate half. They were big but seamed a little undercooked. They ran out of gravy for the putine then they ran out of fries. My bf got onion rings instead with his fish. The onion rings were way overcooked and so hard he couldn’t even eat them. He didn’t want to tell them about the onion rings because he didn’t want to wait another hour for new ones. He just ate the fish and came home and had a peanut butter and jelly sandwitch, poor guy. Won’t be going back any time soon.
