This was my first in person visit to a Golden Chick, and I cannot relay how impressed I was just on a simple review. Christian was very friendly and helpful, my order was ready when I got there, the environment was well lit and clean. I appreciated seeing TVs on the wall making a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were orderly and looked clean too. I haven’t seen a clean fast-food place around Houston in years, so this was all mind blowing to experience. Whoever is running this place runs a tight ship and has a bright future. Thanks for making the night great! And boy howdy, the Lucky 13 feels like a great deal.

Great food! It’s a bit on the expensive side I spend about 50 bucks to feed a family of 3. But you definitely get what you pay for so no real complaints. The employees are always nice and respectful and embodies that southern hospitality. 5 starts great job!

I came through the drive through today before the start of my work day, I ordered a 4 tender meal and a fish meal I asked that my food be made fresh. The young lady asked me to pull around to the front, I waited 10 mins. When I got home, my food- tenders, fried okra and poppers were not fresh as I asked and they didn’t give me gravy for my tenders! I called the store 3x to speak with a manager and only got the voicemail. I spent $35 food is entirely too high to be wasteful

I love eating their spicy pickle wings. At first I was but afraid to try just didn’t sound appealing. Then one day I asked for a six piece half lemon pepper and the other spicy pickle. The taste was good and delightful. A must try if you go there

2 days ago I tried the 2 piece Catfish w/3 shrimp & coleslaw. Catfish was cut from a whole filled, so it was very thin and small. Shrimp were small. Flavor and crunch on fish was good, but portion size was VERY Disappointing for $13. Coleslaw was very good. Too sum this up, I will not order Catfish again.

I absolutely love this place—the food is consistently excellent. However, like everything else, the prices have increased significantly. These types of eateries used to be a go-to for saving a few dollars, and that’s no longer the case. As a result, what was once a weekly stop for our family of three has become more of a once-a-month visit.

First time getting food from here. Disgusting! I actually got sick. Chicken tenders had zero flavor and were very tough, seemed old. Another family member had 2 Catfish were the size of nuggets and mediocre at best. The worst though was the fried okra. It had a weird chemical taste that left this same aftertaste that was hard to lose. I threw most away. They forgot our corn nuggets side but after reading reviews on those I am not upset about missing it. My stomach was immediately gurgling after eating not even very much and subsequently prayed to the porcelain god. Would never get from this place again, would not recommend.

With all the hype about this fried chicken, I thought for sure this would be , boy we’re we wrong. We went on their grand opening and tried several items. The fried chicken was bland, not flavorful at all, it did have that homemade taste and crunch but no flavor. The gravy and the rolls were amazing. The catfish was very good with the fried okra. The chicken sandwich OG was juicy and better than Chick-fil-A and that’s saying something. We will try the fried chicken again another day and see if it’s any better. I didn’t try the roasted chicken.

The food taste is great as always…but the serving size on the family sides has been weak. The family size already appear smaller than they used to be… and now only filling those about 2/3 full. Its intentional… wasn’t just on one visit and wasn’t on one of the sides. Dont like this new direction.
