Our first time here. It was a little odd from the parking to getting in, food, etc.
If you haven’t ever been here, look for the stars inside of the parking lot so you can park free. We didn’t know this until we had to pay to pay on the street. There are no signs stating you can park free if you’re a customer until you get to the door to walk in which kind of defeats the purpose.
Upon walking in, we had no clue what to do. Again, this was our 1st time there. We saw a small bar with hot food, another side they called the deli. We had to step up to the “deli” before anyone took notice we had no clue what to do. Once we were told, we decided to eat from the small buffet. They had chicken & dressing, fried chicken, veggies on it and in the deli they had different cold pasta and veg salads.
It is pay by the pound. Which is fair and we were good with that except again, if you’re new here. I suggest if you want dessert with your main plate. You should get it before you get to the register bc if not. You’ll pay twice over. That was inconvenient for us. Swiping cards twice. Ugh but all in all the food was good. I wasnt wild about the coleslaw but I’m a sugar in my slaw kinda person lol the chicken/dressing was good too and the sweet potato souffle was hands down phenomenal!!! I can’t even remember what my husband had that day but he said it was good too. The cakes we didnt care for as much as we thought we would. Sweet tea is also very good.
Again, all in all it was good but I can see why this is more for folks that either hang out downtown or work downtown. It was a nice visit for us and something new to try.

Wow! This is great food at a great price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would come a couple of days a week if I lived in the area. They had gluten free food and dessert offerings. The GF peanut butter pie was so delicious. I highly recommend you come!

We really enjoyed our visit. The fried green tomatoes were crispy and quite tasty. the shrimp was huge and cooked well. I didn’t care for the stuffed tomato. All in all for the price it was a good meal.

Very unique Blue Plate Special menu. It offers a choice of meat with 4 sides for $10! The shrimp and grits were savory, and the Almond Joy Bread Pudding was fantastic!

You can only have a lunch buffet here between the hours of 11am and 2pm.
They have mainly catered meals. Very clean establishment and professional employees. The food was average but I do suggest if you enjoy southern style food.

You can never go wrong with this place! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The food is always great with so many options it makes it difficult to make a decision. I’ll continue to come back to this place for sure.
