I Loved my experience. The place had great service and options. It is a Caribbean fish restaurant not just sushi. The sushi rolls were good, I have had better. On the on the other side the sashimi was awesome! One of my favorite parts of the place was the Caribbean mural on the wall. My experience was highlighted by a surprise comedy act at the end of our dinner. We will be back.

The food was fantastic! The staff was awesome and friendly. We had three kids with us and the server was beyond attentive to them, explaining the food choices and how to use chop sticks. It’s a small place, not a lot of seating but will be expanding soon, either way it makes it a cute and cozy place. I was definitely impressed with the all around quality of food and service here and it’s nice to find a good sushi place like this in Waconia.

Great date night place in Waconia, and in the Western Twin Cities. Worth the drive! Been to many Sushi bars and this one is comfortable, friendly, great atmosphere with a simple menu with all the sushi favorites. Have to try their Firecracker Sushi! Really tasty. Owners are great and the service is top notch.

First time here – and so glad we went! The sushi was quality, and fair size to price. We had the crunchy shrimp- awesome, and spicy salmon – awesome. Local brews on tap. The ambiance was great, and just having a sushi/fish place in our area is a fantastic option!

A true standout sushi & sake bar. Stellar quality ingredients come together to make superb rolls! The people over the sushi counter are also a delight. Expect to pay a higher price for the higher quality.

Needless to say this place is the best place to get sushi in Waconia and surrounding areas.

Can’t say enough about our visit to K&B. We always opt for sushi in Wayzata but found this on the map and being close by in Mound we gave it a shot. The exterior was quite simple, while the interior had a very inviting beachy vibe to it which I loved every bit of. Moving on to the food, I can’t give enough thumbs up. Ingredients were so very fresh and you could taste it in every bite. Service and staff were very helpful with recommendations and great conversation. This place puts the other ‘turn and burn’ sushi spots on the east side of the lake to shame. Prices were average for high quality sushi. Can’t wait to go back and support this hidden gem.

Such a great addition to downtown Waconia! Went at 7pm on Saturday night and would’ve had to wait a little bit for a table but the bar had seats available so we sat there. Glad we did! Our server/bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. We ordered several of his recommendations including the escolar nigiri which was absolutely delicious. Pricing was pretty standard for a sushi place. We’ll definitely be back!

We ordered takeout from here, and when we ordered they said it would take an hour, which we were fine with. When we arrived, they had two items from our order, but not our rolls. We were told that one of their cooks had called in sick, which is a detail no restaurant patron should know about. Furthermore, we were rudely explained that we were to wait for the rest of our order, while we watched the lady at the front desk move our appetizer boxes six times on the counter.

We also noticed one of the cooks come out of the kitchen and let some food drop on his shirt, which he then put back on the plate. The entire amount of time waiting at the restaurant was 20 minutes, and we waited an entire hour before going to pick up our order.

Upon entry, the restaurant looks like it is a poor replica of a Joe’s Crab Shack. A mural of the Caribbean on the wall? Sushi comes from Japan. Old rustic grocery store signs? Not sure if they are trying to accomplish a cheap fish joint or an actual sushi place.

I was looking forward to having a sushi place in town, but found this place to be highly lackluster.

K&B is an honestly great and friendly local establishment that serves both a wide mix of quality sushi and a variety of original drinks. If you don’t like sushi, try the Teriyaki chicken and sticky rice. It’s tasty and filling simple dish.
