To start the place was beautiful. As a starter we ordered a bone marrow which was good but the red stuff on top overpowered the taste of the actual bone marrow. As for the filet mignon it was cooked to perfection. The NY strip was also delicious. We finished our dinner with a delicious ginormous coffee Sundae! The coffee taste wasn’t as strong and the different toppings were a great pair with the ice cream.

Traveled to NYC with a friend to order Chef Daniel’s 34 ounce Cote De Bouef. It was spectacular! Seasoned and cooked perfecty! We also ordered the Prime Rib which was also beautifully cooked and the best Prime Rib That I have ever eaten. We had three side sauces, Bordelaise, Bearnaise and Horseradish Cream sauces. Each were perfect. The Bordelaise tasted like the pure essence of beef. The sides were also exceptional, particularly the roasted Marrow Bones. The service was incredibly professional from the host, bartender and our waiter Thomas. Food, cocktails, wine and service all aspects of a great evening were exceptional.

We were fortunate to meet and talk with Chef Daniel for a few minutes and found him to be very welcoming and glad to engage with his guests. It was an honor to meet with him and have his insight and recommendations on our menu selections.
Just a an all around excellent experience!

We came as a party of 8 and loved the atmosphere – intimate, upscale, lowkey. The service was a little slow at times but the team was super down to earth. It was a joint birthday celebration and they made it special with complimentary specialty desserts and singing. Our courses were good but I can’t say anything really stoodout. Actually, the vanilla and raspberry soft serve probably was my highlight!

Had dinner here last night with a few friends and it was excellent from start to finish. For starters, we had the hamachi crudo and the roasted delicata squash, both were good, but I wasn’t completely blown away by them.

For the main course, we shared the 28-day dry-aged ribeye, the 60-day dry-aged porterhouse, and the prime rib among four people. Everything was extremely satisfying and filling. We also added the seared foie gras to pair with the steak, and it completely delivered—super decadent and rich, and we were genuinely blown away. The sides and the variety of sauces that came with the prime rib were a great touch and gave us a lot to taste and compare. We also ordered the ravioles au comté gratinées, which was an outstanding side. Honestly, one of the best steakhouse sides I’ve ever had.

Overall, in my opinion, this is the best steakhouse in NYC right now. This meal is going to be hard to top.

If you want to experience the newest and must try restaurant in New York City, then you need to go to La Tête D Or by Daniel Boulud. The overall atmosphere is chic yet comfortable. The level of service is exceptional and the dishes were wonderful, with a balance of flavors and texture. We had the tuna tartar, the onion soup with wonderful bits of tenderloin in it. The filet mignon with the different sauces and toppings is a must. We also had the Dover sole which was deboned table side. You honestly cant go wrong with any of the sides. And for desert, we shared the homemade ice cream sundae . Such a great time and will definitely be coming back.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant La Tête d’Or by Daniel in midtown east NYC, USA.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The ribeye was perfectly cooked — juicy, flavorful, and beautifully charred on the outside — while the crab cake and bone marrow starter were both outstanding in taste and presentation. The green beans side dish was simple but perfectly seasoned, providing a nice balance to the richness of the main course.

The dessert, a cheesecake elegantly reimagined, was one of the highlights of the meal — light, refined, and full of character. The wine pairing was spot on, thanks to the sommelier’s excellent recommendations.

The semi-open kitchen adds a great touch to the atmosphere, giving a glimpse of the chefs at work, and the head chef himself was remarkably friendly and approachable. Service throughout the evening was both professional and genuinely warm.

A perfect spot for a corporate dinner, a special celebration, or simply an unforgettable meal in New York. Instantly became my preferred steakhouse in NYC. Highly recommended.

10/10 for everything. This is a really elegant restaurant for a special occasion. The dining room is grand. The bar is more intimate. All the food was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. It is quite expensive, but worth it if you’re looking to splurge for a special occasion.

My wife & our 2 teens visited La Tete d’Or on 1/19/26 for my son’s birthday celebration. We had a great time! First of all, the ambiance is truly remarkable! What a beautiful interior! The entire food experience was fantastic! You definitely must try the Caviar pasta with scallops! Every single item we had was delicious! We ordered 2 filet mignon and fought over the last piece! lol! In many restaurants we take home a to-go bag or two! Not at Chef Daniels remarkable restaurant, La Tete d’Or!! We ate every morsel!

Great vibe at this Gramercy Boulud steakhouse. Love the high ceilings, service and the music. The razor clams and seafood salad are a must. Steak was slightly oversalted for my taste but otherwise delicious. Tuna and salmon were excellent. Overall great spot – good for date or dinner with friends
