New Taj India is a bit of a hidden gem just outside the core of downtown Nashua. Arriving between lunch and dinner crowds, it was a bit quiet. Owner Ginny met me at the door and took care of me from there. The restaurant is beautifully – and authentically – decorated, giving the experience a nice vibe. To start, I dove into an order of soft and sweet Punjabi Nan which comes with a couple of sauces for dipping. Then came Taj Choice, a mixed platter of appetizer items and more sauces; everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. I could have stopped there, but no. For the main came a monster bowl of Taj’s Special Biryani – which I ordered spicy hot – loaded with lamb, chicken, shrimp, almonds, vegetables, cashews, raisins, and comes with a side of Raita to temper the spice. I walked away very happy and with enough Biryani left over for a meal the next day. Highly recommended.

Lamb Rogan Josh is incredibly tasty! Reasonable prices and quick service. Best Indian food in greater nashua.

We have been here many times over the last 10 years. It is by far my favorite Indian places. We have traveled all over the states but we always have to do this one when we are in Nashua. The spice levels are always right on target. If you want them hot they are very hot. If you want it mild they can do that too.

We love this hidden gem in Nashua. So happy that they are part of this community. I absolutely love their medium spice Tikka Masala & garlic naan. They always have a colorful decorated window front. We’ve always been seated right away and get good service.
My 3.5 year old loves their basmati rice. Just shovels it in! Tonight we asked for unseasoned chicken for him and the owner brought him the most beautifully decorated plate of chicken with rice and brightly colored rice cake pieces. Our son really felt special having his own personalized meal. Our son was getting a bit restless towards the end. The owner may have noticed, came over and gave him two pieces of candy. He was over joyed!
We will definitely continue to come here as should You!
Try the masala tea, too

Very accommodating place. After our group got turned down by Indian Palace on Amherst St. in Nashua because we were “too late for dinner” even though it was 7:45 pm and they close at 9p, we decided to come to this place. Not only did they welcome us with open arms but they put two tables together and gave us the best seat in the house. Food was tremendous. Staff was great. Atmosphere was nice too. Please eat here and help support businesses like these who value their customers, unlike Indian Palace.

Great food and a small buffet. Fantastic and authentic tastes. Loved everything I ate, just wish there were more options. Probably can’t be more options though, because it seems lightly attended. Which is a pity, because this place deserves more. I only tried the vegetarian option the day I visited, and the spice levels were perfect. Don’t forget to try the rice pudding and masala tea at the end of the buffet. They are great, and well worth your attention at the start of the meal, not just the end.
