Reason for visiting: lunch before a poker session

Date/time of visit: Friday afternoon, ~2:30 PM

Parking: but difficult to get into and park. If you’re coming from 405 South, you have to U-Turn around to get to the parking lot. Once in the parking lot, it’s tight; got lucky that there was less people and 1 open spot. if no parking, not sure where’d you park or just have to wait for someone to leave. Parking is free; no valet

Party size: 2

Environment/ambience: pretty clean inside; I think they just opened 2-3 months when I visited. Restroom clean too. 2 workers; one spoke English, one didn’t so might be easier to come with someone who speaks Spanish. One TV playing Spanish music videos.

Service: was great; they made sure we got the right orders, etc.

Food: was great too; had the carne asada burrito, no beans . When eating there, they bring all sides and sauces to the table; hot/reg sauces, veggies, etc. All of it was great. If you get your burrito with cheese, they melt the cheese onto the tortilla and then stuff it; pretty good

Cost: $31 for 2 burritos, a coke.

Would I go back (yes/no): 90/10; 10 b/c of the parking situation

Having a great experience. It was my first time tasting Salvadoran food and more than happy to do it. Food really good and tasty, portions are bigger than I imagined. Nice and warm atmosphere. Coming here again if I go back to LA.

We enjoyed the restaurant over all – the pupusas were delicious, and the Mojara frita was really good. The only thing we would have enjoyed better was if the drinks weren’t bottled for sit in service. We ordered Horchata and it tasted a bit aged, we couldn’t finish it. Besides that, we also liked the space, relatively small but nice. The service was really good!

The pupusas, tamales, and the beef stew were very good. The food came out hot and fresh and was tasty.

The restaurant is very new and clean. Be aware that parking is limited.

I ordered takeout/delivery. After one bite I knew I was eating food from El Salvador. I had the carne asada plate and revueltas that came with a great vinegar slaw. I also got the grilled jalapeño and habanero sauce. So good and so filling. I felt like I was eating in someone’s home.

Well thank God I found this place again. They were located on Hawthorne boulevard in one day disappeared. You have no idea how much money I throw away trying to find decent pupusas. Now thank God that I found them I won’t buy them anywhere else.

The pupusas were so good, freshly made,
Good portion and amazing prices! We each had 2 papusas, plantains and 2 cokes for $33. Outstanding stop on the way to a concert.

My boyfriend and I order here all the time, today we decided to eat in the restaurant. A party next to us had left, and I noticed one of the employees empty the parties left over salsa into a big bucket in which they were giving to other people who were also ordering pupusas. I was so grossed out I couldn’t finish the rest of my food. I don’t think we’ll be coming back which is unfortunate because the food itself is good.
