I also got the iced strawberry matcha latte with 0% sugar, and it was really good! The drink is perfectly balanced.. not too sweet, milky, or bitter. The homemade strawberry purée added natural sweetness and tartness without being syrupy or too jammy. I’ll definitely be back to try more, especially the hojicha latte, the regular premium matcha latte and other sushi pieces/dishes.
The fish was fresh, the rice was perfectly seasoned, and every piece was made with care. Even as takeout, it was excellent.
Definitely ordering again!
UPDATE (Feb 2026):
Came back and the Kara-age was just as excellent as last time. This time I got their Valentine’s Chef’s Sushi for Two and the sushi was even better than last time. This time, the rice taste and texture were perfect, even after travel time; and I didn’t have any tough cuts of fish. I’m not sure if they had an off day last time or they improved or both, but I’m glad. Actually, looking at the photos, I think you can see clear improvement.
I did experience a couple other hiccups this time though. First, their point-of-sale system was down, so they actually didn’t get to start on my order until I arrived to show them what I ordered (not their fault). Second, the Valentine’s special was advertised to come with a small complimentary medai sashimi, but I think they forgot to include it.
ORIGINAL (Jan 2026):
The Signature Sushi Set was very tasty and good value, especially considering the pieces offered and that it’s takeout. I do need to mention that the rice texture did suffer a bit due to travel time (no avoiding that) and one of the salmon nigiri had a tough part to chew (hopefully just a rare occurrence). But still, the set as a whole was delicious, and I appreciated that the provided wasabi seemed to be of good quality.
The Kara-age really stole the show. A slight crisp on the outside gives way to a super juicy and flavorful chicken on the inside. One of the best I’ve ever had.
The restaurant is owned and operated by a Japanese owner, and their concept is to faithfully recreate authentic Japanese quality.
Despite being a takeout-focused shop, the food quality is outstanding, and I was very impressed.
I will definitely be coming back again.
