Waited for 40 minutes for food, and it was cold. Service was meh. Lettuce was soggy. The meat in the soup was mushy. When asked what type of meat the gyro salad was she didn’t know or would go find out. When asked what type of whiskey they had she didn’t know or go find out. I went to the bar and found out myself. I have been here before and it was usually good, but not this time.

I’ve eaten there twice. The 1st experience was great. The food was good and the staff were friendly and prompt. The 2nd experience wasn’t as pleasant. They weren’t busy at all. We were one of three tables in the bar area of the restaurant and only a couple of people were seated at the bar. We waited over 20 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, which was cold when it arrived at our table. My mother-in-law ordered a French Dip, which she said the that it was cold as well and the meat tasted not fresh. The staff wasn’t prompt and left dirty plates and dishes and our table throughout the meal. The atmosphere is good and it’s a nice place, but I’m gonna have to give it another try before I can really form an opinion!

Views are great. Food was decent, though service was kinda slow. The waitress was pretty good, though. Unfortunately, I think the central air unit was not working. It was so hot & humid inside the building that it made enjoying our meal with family rather difficult.

The food is prepared flawlessly about 95% of the time, which is rather impressive considering the fact that most of the wait staff is in high school. The view is terrific, especially if you sit at a table by the window. Otherwise, all you see is a parking lot and golf course (which isn’t bad either). In the summer, the place gets sweltering hot though because their AC is either busted of sub-prime. Makes it hard to eat. But, the bartending staff is super friendly and professional, not to mention personable enough to memorize your favorite drink order if you go there often enough. Most of the menu is delicious, but there are a few items I wouldn’t suggest if you like flavor. Kids eat free every Sunday and there are specials all week long. It’s one of our favorite weekly dives for sure.

We drove an hour to go to this restaurant. We had to wait a little time to get a table. We had been there a few times. This time disappointing. We had chicken strips and fries. The strips seemed rubbery and the fries were cold. I had the breaded tenderloin and fries. These fries were cold also. The tenderloin was super thin hardly any meat. Also the breading was thick and really greasy. The only that saved the dinner was the onion rings that was good. If this was my first trip to the restaurant I would never go back.

Server was very helpful! Seated an (unreserved) table of 6 immediately. I had the steak salad. Not as much steak as you would get at a steakhouse, but no other complaints! Will definitely go back!

Let me start by saying the food is VERY good and the setting is beautiful! That being said, the service needs attention. We have visited on several occasions and were told there would be a wait but there were NUMEROUS empty tables. Last night was no exception. We arrived and informed the Hostess we had 4 adults and 2 children in our party. She said there would be a 40 minute wait. We could see several empty tables and there was no one waiting ahead of us. I questioned the Hostess about the empty tables (one in the bar area) and she stated the table did not seat 9 people. I said we did not have 9 people, we had 4 adults and 2 small children. She then stomped into the bar area. Soon, someone (who I can only assume was the Manager as she did not introduce herself) was in my face asking what the problem was. I explained the conversation I had with the Hostess and her response was “She’s 17 years old and the table did not seat 7 people!” I kept calm and again explained we did not have seven people. I also said if this is a problem, we could go somewhere else. She then seated us at the table in the bar and threw a coupon on the table for a free appetizer with a half-hearted apology for being rude. I will add our waitress was very polite and welcoming. I love the food here and wish they could resolve the service issue.

This is a very beautiful restaurant at a golf course next to the river. There is comfortable outdoor seating also. They have excellent food and our waiter David was just as excellent! Will definitely go there the next time we’re in Independence!
