Falafel Hut (est. 05/14/2021) (in Santa Rosa ) We have now expanded to our 2nd restaurant, which also happens to be located on Fourth Street located in downtown Santa Rosa on the same block as the Russian River Brewing Company. Please stop by to say hi and enjoy some very scrumptious food. 🙂 Established in 2006. Falafel Hut in San Rafael opened its doors to the public in May of 2006 in a small tucked away former Dairy Queen location. It has since expanded and has moved two doors up the street into the former Red Boy Pizza. Falafel Hut has a very loyal and established client base. San Rafael welcomed us with wide opened arms after the first bite of our world-famous falafel sandwich.

We eat a lot of Mediterranean restaurants through Washington, Oregon, and California and I would say this is one of the best we have had if not the best we have had here in California. You can taste that everything’s made with fresh ingredients from scratch.
From the warm & friendly service, to the well prepared and delightfully delicious grub, you cannot go wrong here.
I’ve included photos of their Falafels (which is a MUST every time!), the chicken shawarma wrap, & a few delectable desserts
The falafel and Pakistani food are honestly the best I’ve had. So fresh, so flavorful, and you can taste that it’s made with love.
They also have a dessert case — a beautiful display of incredible pastries and sweets: Turkish delight, baklava, pistachio bars… so many beautiful things, it’s hard to choose.
I had the kunafa (and truly had no idea what I was ordering), but I’m SO glad I did. Whatever you do — DO NOT skip it. It instantly became my favorite dessert. Ooey, gooey, crunchy, creamy… there are no words for how beautiful and delicious it is.
If you have a chance to eat here, you will be so happy, (and don’t skip the Kunafa). We’re so lucky to have this beautiful restaurant.
Stopped in for lunch with my wife last Saturday, and wow — what an amazing experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and generous in portion. From the appetizer plates to the entrées, everything was delicious — we couldn’t even finish it all and ended up taking some to go! I recommend lamb shanks and kofta kebab.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, filled with greenery and the relaxing sound of water. The staff greeted us with incredible hospitality — they even served complimentary hummus, salad, and pita. That kind of service is rare these days!
The hummus was creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the desserts were absolutely to die for — the Turkish Delight and Pistachio Baklava easily deserve a 12/10. The chicken shawarma was juicy we had one to go, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, and the fresh lemonade/Mint was the perfect finishing touch — light, refreshing, and full of zest.
If you’re craving authentic Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food in Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and visit Falafel Hut. It’s a true local gem — amazing food, relaxing ambiance, and service that makes you feel at home. We’ll definitely be back!
