My wife and I made it our mission to try as many ice cream shops as possible while in Maine and this was our first stop.
The outside is super cute! They have a tiny patio near the front door where you can grab a blanket if you need and hang out while you eat your ice cream. They have additional high top seating around the front of the building as well. There are an incredible amount of options inside so if you have decision paralysis, get readyyyyyy. The staff was very patient while we thought and thought and thought.
After careful deliberation, I ordered the Coffee Heath Bar hard serve in a waffle cone (that they make there!!!) and my wife ordered Nana’s Ginger in a cup. Both were amazing! The coffee heath was so well made; creamy and dreamy. The ginger was so light and refreshing! I almost switched but the coffee was too good to give up.
If you’re in Ellsworth and are craving something sweet, head into Morton’s Moo! You will not be disappointed.

Adorable home made ice cream shop. Gluten free and vegan options, coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, ice cream cake, whoopee pies, cupcakes, and buckeyes and more. They have shorts, bags, and stickers too. Group had lemon, peach, blueberry, coconut. All were great. I loved the lemon ice cream. The flavors were subtle and not over the top as some home made shops do. Highly recommend for ice cream fans of all ages of you’re in Ellsworth!

We stopped in for ice cream late one evening. We were greatest by the young girl behind the counter immediately. She was pleasant and helpful with describing all the different flavors and sampling the ice cream. We were very happy with our choices and loved the ice cream. I would highly recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth.

I can’t remember the last time I had ice cream that good. I had a seasonal sundae with brownies and butterscotch ice cream. My wife had ginger ice cream in a waffle cone. I wish I could have a subscription where they ship me pints every month since I can’t just fly back every time I have a craving. Just please never stop what you’re doing.

They had us at “homemade”! Homemade ice cream, homemade hot fudge and homemade crafted drinks. So glad we stopped in! Ice cream flavor choices were very interesting! Server was very sweet and friendly. Everything tasted fresh and delish. Also grabbed a homemade whoopie pie which was also very soft and fresh. Definitely recommend!
