It was a quite interesting experience. There were homeless people sleeping beside the parking lot. You have to pay before the food was served. The lady owner told us that there were instances the that food prepared for pickups were stolen and people were leaving without paying after meals. That being said, the food was actually pretty good. The kung pao chicken and the green beans were well cooked and flavorful. The portions were large and the price was very reasonable. The owner was very friendly.

Friendly service and huge portions. Huge. We overate and had enough for another meal the next day.
Fast. Lots of to-go orders, but we dined it. The restaurant itself is definitely showing it’s age, but the food more than made up for it.
We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice and chow mein.

Very interesting experience. Food was nasty, had the sweet and sour chicken that had no flavor what so ever. Barelllly can taste any chicken. Veggies were undercooked. Kung pao chicken was ok but expect to run in a language barrier when you are ordering food. Also the waiter doesnt listen to what you say and he will have to guess on what you are saying. Place is also dirty… dirty utensils and plates were dirty. Cups were dirty and I didnt use one of the two forks he gave us, but I did touch it and showed how they wernt paired and the waiter returned it into the clean tray gloating saying “oh not used.”

Been coming here for years. Will be interesting to see what happens to them once the Stadium opens. Other restaurants like M&Ms Soul Food rent is trippling forcing them to relocate or go out of business. Shame on Inglewood turning their backs on the working class blacks who kept the city afloat.

Chu’s is a good place for casual dining. Large portions are served with a smile. Prices are reasonable compared to what you would normally pay for eating out these days. We had the house fried rice, chicken chow mien, spicy wings and Mongolian beef. Everything was delicious. Next time we’ll try the garlic wings! I would recommend this establishment for dining and I’ll return for more visits.

This is honestly our favorite take-out Chinese spot in Inglewood. It’s been a staple here since the 80s. They give you huge portions for reasonable prices you won’t find anywhere else.
The food is always on point for your typical take-out. One time they forgot the appetizer we ordered and they gave us a credit for it the next time we came in. When we did, they gave us additional portions without us asking. It showed the owner cared.
Yes, the ambiance hasn’t changed since…the 80s, and the food isn’t going to go above and beyond some of the places you’d find in Gardena or Chinatown but it’s the typical spot you’d find everywhere across the East Coast when you need something quick, easy, and delicious. It’s not trying to be trendy. The staff has always been helpful and kind.
Check it out and grab some take out if you haven’t.
