My son and I visited A&W, a local favorite of ours during the summer months. Unfortunately, this will likely be our last visit. While the food was enjoyable, the service was severely lacking. Upon our arrival, the cashier was mopping the floor and proceeded to the register without washing her hands. She gave us a disdainful look when we entered. I greeted her, but she merely continued to stare. After placing our order, she returned to mopping, exhibiting the rudest behavior I have ever encountered. We ultimately decided to dispose of our full root beers, which I had paid for, as we were uncomfortable with the idea of her unwashed hands touching the ice, cups, and register. Although the cook was wearing gloves, the cashier’s demeanor and lack of hygiene were off-putting. If I could give her negative stars I would.
