The restaurant features a wood-fired oven, and the food program focuses on sourdough pizza, as well as seasonally-available meats and produce. The farmlands surrounding the restaurant have produced exceptional fruits and vegetables for generations and we are continuing these operations to generate estate-grown ingredients for our kitchen.

Heaven on earth. It probably helped that the conditions were incredible. We rented XC skis – we booked online the day before and got the last skis in our sizes. Arrived around 11 and the front parking lot was full, but the upper lot had plenty of space. We skied around for an hour or so then skied out to the hut. There were fires to gather around, drinks (beer, hot beverages, water, etc), and lots of seating. Kids running around, lots of dogs. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
We skied a little more (all trails pretty flat, great for beginners). We finished up with a pizza ($22) and another beer (~$8 ea) at the restaurant.

I have never been to an Oxbow location and only recently tried some of their beer. I thought I wasn’t love with their beer before I even went to the Beer garden but I’m over the moon in love now! The beer was so fresh and spot on, while drinking the beer in that kind of setting made it so much more enjoyable. Their pizzas were phenomenal and the takeout choices were extensive. I hope to be back again soon and maybe even stop by the original farmhouse location. We brought the dogs along and they were welcome and the place appeared to be dog friendly (outdoors).

We met friends while driving through the area. It seems like a great place with a lot going on so I look forward to going back. The pizza was really good. I wish they had a vegan cheese but with a small menu I totally get it. Their vegan pizza with no cheese was still delicious. The staff was really friendly. Looking forward to going back.

This is one of my favorite places! I love the variety of seating options. I usually cozy up to the bar, but also love that you can come with groups of various sizes and choose your own adventure (upstairs loft, downstairs table, outdoor patio, outdoor tables, etc). The tile and color always make me feel so happy.
Staff is always A+++. Super kind, helpful, chatty if you are there on a slower night. Always treated like a friend even if we’ve never met.
Food is amazing. The menu is small but mighty. My go-to order is the kale caesar salad (the dressing is amazing, the kale is fresh and massaged soft every time, and I would eat the croutons on their own), fried artichokes (they have changed people’s entire opinions on artichokes) and a mushroom pie. The char is always amazing the the mushrooms are so good. Everything is fresh and everything is always amazing.
And OF COURSE the beer, which I adore. Never anything wrong on the menu.
This is a regular stop for me, and I will go out of my way for a craving. I have actually never done the trails, but looking to explore them this year!

The best place to xc ski! Free trails and affordable rentals from Portland Gear Hub if you need xc skis or snow shoes. Take the beautiful wooded trails about a mile out to The Hut and have a beer around the fire. There’s a bathroom out there and it’s kid and dog friendly. When you get back to the parking area, pop into the restaurant for a beer and a delicious wood fired pizza. The food is amazing, staff are friendly, atmosphere is perfect. What else could you want? It’s one of those special places in Maine that make our state so lovely. Thanks to Oxbow for keeping the trails free and beautifully groomed for the public!!

We have been here a few times. The pizza is wood fired, beer is their own and good. I had the Northern Lager, nice, light and refreshing. Wife had, sorry she can remember but she liked it, abit sour for me. Our pizza by the way was fantastic, it was the Njuja. Spicy Italian pork, Calabrian chilis with honey. So, good, we are sitting here contemplating about ordering another pizza, 2 people 14” with thin crust another one would push us over the edge. But, really good if your in the area.

Such a cute restaurant/brewery. I really loved the atmosphere and the vibe at this place. All the people (customers and employees) were super nice and friendly and they had a lot of options for beer. The bartender was great and gave us samples until we found one we particularly liked. Ended up with the field beer and the saison aquatic – both very good. For food, we got the mushroom calzone and the donuts! Very pleased with the donuts and would highly recommend them. The calzone was good, but somewhat small compared to what we had seen another table get. In addition, I think adding sausage like they had recommended would’ve made it a good combination. Overall, pretty good experience!

Food was fantastic. The best pizza I’ve had in a while. The mushroom pizza was particularly good. The beer is unique too; it’s worth branching out.
Went on a Friday and it wasn’t too packed. Place is spread out and has a cool atmosphere.
Wish there was one closer to Boston.

We absolutely love Oxbow! The atmosphere, food (pizza! Crispy artichokes!), and beer are amazing! What I am about to say only pertains to their disc golf course. We played yesterday and I asked my husband later that evening what he thought of it and he said “I’ll never play there again”. It was a literal swamp. And I get it has been rainy and even rained the day prior. But Saturday we waited for the rain to stop and went and played Side Show and our feet didn’t get wet. They need to build bridges or do a better job at directing the water but I doubt that will happen given they use the same trails for XC skiing. Even a warning from staff as we paid the steep $10/head to play would be nice. It’s almost like they should have paid US to play ♀️

We hosted our small wedding (ceremony and reception) at the Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford in August 2021. Rebecca was so easy to work with and very flexible and the process was just so smooth and low-stress despite being during a pandemic (and we live out of state so only visited once during the process, the rest of our planning was done over phone/email) . Of course, the beer was excellent and the pizza is just so great. We were all also so pleasantly surprised by the pita and hummus that was part of our appetizers. I would highly recommend visiting just to enjoy a beer on the beautiful property or planning an outdoor event with Rebecca and her team! We have already been back since the wedding and hope to get up to the property to snowshoe over the winter!
