food is FANTASTIC! I’m not even a huge lobster gal but came to try after seeing on social media and it did not disappoint. Lobster is plentiful and the texture is spot on. We got the lobster fries, grilled cheese, and the classic roll. Spiked blueberry lemonades were also spot on. Highly recommend for reasoned lobster lovers and people trying to get into it as well.

After a day on the bay, we swung by Cape May’s boardwalk for a quick lobster roll from Lala Lobster — and thankfully, we made it just in time. Just before they closed, and just as the sun was setting.
It was the perfect sunset snack: juicy lobster piled onto a buttery, toasted roll. Simple, fresh, and totally satisfying as the day wound down.

Quality is so inconsistent. Some days it’s a 5/5 (rarely) and then days like today it’s burnt bread they just feel okay serving. Other days it’s purely rubber lobster. Owner/manager is also unfit to be in his position as he said there was nothing he could do. I asked if I could bring the food back but he didn’t seem willing to work with me.

We took advantage of a sweetheart special they offered for Valentine’s Day and everything was great in addition to being a super deal. We got an extra lobster roll and paid for added lobster and that was really good and stuffed. This was a very nice treat. The only negative was the online ordering showed pickup would take 5-10 minutes and it took 45 minutes (not surprising given Valentine’s Day and I called to confirm timing and that’s when they provided a new estimate). And worth mentioning, which was new to me, is that they have a small dining room to eat there.

We’ve been a few times now and their lobster roles meet the craving of a yummy treat at a casual spot. In the warmer months, there is live music outside, perfecting the feel of a beachside eatery. I also like their cocktails on tap.

A really well done lobster roll. Both the classic butter and the spicy lobster rolls were very tasty and there was a decent amount of lobster. The lobster bisque was very rich and flavorful, but not much lobster meat in it. Service was good and faster than expected.

I was excited to take my family to La La Lobster and try their much-talked-about dishes. While the restaurant had a friendly ambiance, I found the menu prices to be quite expensive, and unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations.
When we arrived, we ordered drinks and an appetizer to share, but unfortunately, our drinks arrived half-way through our meal, and the appetizer took forever until we asked for it to-go after we finished our meals. While the lobster grilled cheese and lobster roll were alright, the lobster was served lukewarm on warm/toasty bread, which was odd. The lobster bisque had only one small piece of lobster and was not hot enough, making it a rather unsatisfying soup.
Later, when we tried the lobster dip at home, it turned out to be quite plain and lacked any significant flavor or spices. It was even a more disappointing dish compared to the expectations we had from the other dishes, and we did have low expectations. I’ll be honest it is probably one of the worst seafood items that I’ve ever had, if not the worst, and trust me I’ve had some awful sushi in my lifetime.
Despite these disappointments, I see potential in the restaurant and would be willing to give it another try in the future. And while the food didn’t justify the high price tag, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we appreciate their efforts.
Overall, our experience at La La Lobster was a mixed bag, and we hope that they can make improvements to their dishes and service to live up to the hype.

2 successful la la lobster visits for my bday 2 years in a row I love the lobster rolls and fries here. It was my first time having the chipotle style one and it was surprisingly even tastier than the butter one I usually get. Hoping to continue this tradition for many more years!
