Social Profile:

Rooted in the vibrant flavors of Mumbai and inspired by the legendary India Gate eatery where our founder once dined, Bombay Bistro elevates Indian fine-dining in Redmond. White-tablecloth service meets West-Coast produce in a menu that ranges from smoked Kasundi-marinated salmon and Goan tandoori prawns to fragrant Dum Pukht biryanis, butter-soft lamb-shank nihari, and crisp spinach chaat. Hand-ground masalas, a clay-oven tandoor, and an art-deco dining room recreate the magic of Bombay, while a sommelier-curated wine list and craft cocktails pair beautifully with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options—bringing India’s culinary grandeur to Washington.

The food was great. I’m comparing this place with 2 other well-known, delicious & reputable Indian restaurants on the east side. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and tastefully decorated. The menu has a large variety. There are plenty of vegetarian dishes. We opted to order our dinner on the mild side (when it comes to spiciness) but I do look forward to ordering more “medium to hot” next time I visit. The portions are huge, don’t let the diameter of the serving bowls fool you. We had enough leftovers for a full meal (for 2) for lunch, the next day! … and we’re big eaters

It is a very family friendly atmosphere and there’s plenty of parking.

The jackfruit cutlet is a standout appetizer-crispy outside and flavorful inside. The masala chai pairs perfectly, and the ambiance makes it a pleasant spot to unwind. Weekday visits are even better with 15% off appetizers from 4–6 pm at Bombay Bistro.

Absolutely loved our experience at Bombay Bistro!
We went there for a date night to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and they truly made it feel so special.
The food was a total hit — the Shrimp Kolkata was packed with authentic flavors, perfectly spiced and cooked just right. The Chicken Kolhapuri had a bold, fiery kick (in the best way), and the Chicken Bazaara was rich, comforting, and full of depth.
We also tried the desi kala khatta cocktail, and wow — such a fun, nostalgic twist! Easily one of the highlights of the evening
The soya chaap also decent and nicely done.
What truly elevated the experience was the outstanding service by Sharad and Abash — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond and made our birthday date night feel truly memorable.
Overall, a fantastic place for flavorful Indian food, creative cocktails, and heartfelt service. Definitely coming back!

This was our first visit, and we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the restaurant is—clean, stylish, and with an upscale vibe that makes it a great choice for date night. Even though we showed up in our biking gear, we felt completely welcomed. The service was friendly, and the food was genuinely enjoyable. Don’t let my casual tone fool you—the dishes were absolutely delicious.

Note on my rating scale: Sharing this for transparency, as I recognize that a 3-star review may be misinterpreted as reflecting a mediocre experience.
5 stars – Exceptional: Outstanding food, service, and/or overall experience. Truly worth going out of your way for. (For example, we frequently make the drive from San Antonio to Austin just for Uchi.)
4 stars – Very Good: Exceeds expectations in quality, service, or ambiance.
3 stars – Good: A solid experience that meets expectations. I consider any place with 3 stars or above worthy of a return visit.
2 stars – Disappointing: Falls short in food quality or service.
1 star – Poor: Not recommended.

We had a fantastic experience at Bombay Bistro in Redmond. The food was absolutely excellent and reminded us of authentic Indian flavors done right. We ordered the Chicken Kolhapuri and the Lamb Rara, and both dishes were packed with depth, spice, and the kind of slow-cooked richness that you rarely find outside India. The Kolhapuri especially had that perfect balance of heat and flavor without being overwhelming.

Our server Abhishek made the experience even better. He was friendly, attentive, and gave great suggestions without being pushy. You can tell he genuinely cares about guests having a good time.

The highlight of the meal was the Paan Ice Cream — easily one of the best desserts we’ve had at an Indian restaurant. It tasted like a fresh paan from a good street-side vendor back home, but in a creamy, refreshing form. Not too sweet, very fragrant, and the perfect finish to the meal.

The menu has more variety other Indian places I’ve been to. The food was tasty and nicely spiced at medium. The music was lovely. The staff is very courteous. My waiter Sharon was never obtrusive, but also very attentive. I’d go again.

We stopped here for dinner and it was a very good experience. We had the Tikka chat, the chicken kolhapuri and the Paneer pasanda and the food was tasty and very generous portions. I really liked the spice level in the chicken and they did not good back on the spice. Service was quiet but very efficient. Hoping to come back and try more of the dishes as they are quite different from the standard Indian restaurant dishes

After getting takeout a couple of times I think this is my favorite spot in town. I’ve had the chicken kolhapuri ands it’s perfect. It’s everything I want. It’s a bit spicy though!

The paneer tikka masala was my dining partners favorite in the area as well. She was especially pleased about the vegetable that were added.

The rice has been perfect both times as well.
I’ve only had takeout but it looks really nice inside. Ordering online is easy and prompt.

It was better than expected. I tried chicken kolhapur and it was very flavourful. The lacha paratha was great but I felt it was too buttery – but flavour wise nothing to complain about.

The ambience of Bombay Bistro is really upscale. It doesn’t get better than this.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of this restaurant for the amazing organization of my birthday celebration!
All my guests were absolutely delighted, and I couldn’t have wished for a better experience.

First of all, the restaurant has a separate banquet hall where you can host your private party. We booked the date in advance and discussed the menu — the manager was extremely kind and helpful, assisting us in choosing the dishes and calculating the right portions for our group. I especially appreciate that they considered the fact that many of our guests were trying Indian cuisine for the very first time!

The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and served in generous portions. They even kindly offered to pack up the leftovers for us to take home.
The atmosphere was fantastic — wonderful music, stylish furniture, and elegant interior design made the celebration even more special. The dishes were beautifully presented, and when the drinks were served, it turned into a little show that impressed everyone!

My guests and I were beyond satisfied and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for the perfect place to host a banquet, celebration, or any special event.

Thank you so much for making my day unforgettable!
