My wife and I went to Tesoro for Valentine’s Day after hearing that it is a halal friendly Italian restaurant. Many of their meat items are halal, and the only item that was not halal was the veal. They also mentioned that if you request halal preparation, they will not cook the meat in red wine sauce, which we really appreciated.
The service was fantastic. Even though the restaurant was very busy for Valentine’s Day, everyone was attentive and kind. Multiple staff members stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well. We also did not have to wait too long for a table, which was impressive considering how crowded it was.
We started with the eggplant rollatini, and that was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful, well balanced, and satisfying. We were actually close to ordering a second one because it was that good.
For our main courses, I ordered the lamb chops and my wife ordered the filet mignon. Unfortunately, both dishes were disappointing. My wife’s steak was ordered medium, but it came out closer to well done and was not very tender. My lamb chops were cooked properly in terms of doneness, but they lacked flavor. I ordered the brown walnut sauce on the side, but it did not add much taste. I ended up asking for salt and pepper, which helped a little, but overall the dish should have had more flavor from the start.
It is possible that because it was Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was very busy, the kitchen may have been rushing to get everything out. I am still willing to give Tesoro another chance because halal Italian options are hard to find, and I really appreciated their accommodations.
For now, the eggplant rollatini was excellent, but the steak and lamb chops could definitely have been better. I may update my review if I return and have a better experience.

Love that they serve halal meat for certain dishes (ask about it). Pasta was super tasty and a good portion size. Service was also great and super friendly staff!! Would definitely go here again.

This restaurant is absolutely disgusting I ordered rigatoni tesoro and it was so bad! DONT COME HERE!!!! We also ordered steak and the first time it came, we cut into it and a lot of blood came out. The waiter brought a new one and it was a little more cooked but could barely be cut through. Not to also mention the waiter is rude and rolled his eyes when we told him what happened. If i could give it 0 stars I would❗️

Definitely a must try ! Very hospitable staff , they were able to do substitute couple items and stuff . Food is partially Halal. Great Italian Restaurant in Westbury with nice ambiance.

We spontaneously needed a party room for April or May and were left with a few dates in both months as it is the season of communions, baptisms, etc. We went for dinner to try the food and see if we could build the menu for our guests. The service here was very good, all the staff were polite and friendly. We started out with Moscow Mules and they were decently made. The basket of warmed up Italian and pizza breads on the table was eh, okay, but just very doughy. The baked clams were nothing to write home about by any means, fried calamari was not very good at all and the sauce it comes with was so bland Bacon wrapped shrimp was nicely cooked but the accompanying sauce seemed very mayo heavy, and could have used a little more dijon to conrast the bacon. Eggplant rollatini was pretty good, too. I was excited to try the Marylynn salad, which we asked to be made with romaine lettuce only, and they had no issue accommodating us. The salad itself was very nice, but it was topped with a creamy mayo based dressing? In the description, I believe it’s made with an orange vinaigrette, but this was not orange and had no acidity whatsoever. Finally, for our entree, we ordered the Chicken Toscana, and it just wasn’t for me. The chicken breast seemed a bit hard, and the eggplant and sauce on top wasn’t very good. The fontina cheese didn’t seem to work with the other ingredients, in our opinion. I did like the side of potatoes and vegetables. That was cooked very well and tasted delicious.
Before leaving we asked to see the party room. We were told there were private bathrooms but it looked like the main bathroom in the hallway was what they were referring to. The owners daughter was very nice and accommodating with anything we asked about. I do feel that the pictures online give a different impression, as the room was very small and there were a couple of ceiling tiles that were hanging and noticeable. Overall, we booked this place and were going to remain committed, but we found ourselves asking for our deposit back due to unforseen events. In hindsight, I am kind of happy that we had to cancel our party here, it just wasn’t the impression I wanted to leave my guests with after the fact.

This place is great, not only are they my neighbors but the best part is that they offer halal meat, that is a big plus. I love the food and the staff is very friendly. I ordered the lasagna, it was plenty to take home and eat for the next day. Love me some leftover pasta

For appetizers, we had the Burrata, and it was incredible—creamy, fresh, mozzarella ball, and paired perfectly with the accompanying flavors, veggies and sauce. For mains, we tried the Chicken Sorrantino, Basilico, and Ribeye Steak, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich, the portions were generous, and everything came out surprisingly fast without compromising quality.
The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a date night or even an anniversary dinner. The price point is absolutely worth it for the quality of food and service. Will definitely be coming back again!

Exquisite food and amazing experience. They have partial halal options and the employees are well aware of each and every item. We were pretty confused about what to order, but our server was amazing and help us choose some amazing foods.
I loved there stuffed shrimp with crab meat. As main course we ordered chicken marsala and chicken parmigiana. Both were really tasty and generous portion.
Talking about their ambient, i would say it’s a dress well type of place.
