Came down here, left my family, my home, and my comfort to help restore this state after a devastating storm. Long days. Cold weather. Hard, exhausting work trying to do the right thing.
Tonight, after working all day in the cold, all my crew and I wanted was a hot meal. We were turned away and couldn’t even order food because I didn’t have my ID on me — it was back at the hotel.
No dinner. No consideration. Just sent away.
Makes you really stop and wonder why you come down to help at all. We showed up for this community when it needed it most, and tonight my crew couldn’t even get fed.
I appreciate that.

Worst bar in Oxford. Sells 10x the amount of covers they can hold, and a terrible staff who refused to kick out an off the clock worker who was trying to start a fight because he was “coughed on”. He was only coughed on because the bar was too full to begin with. Terrible owner terrible food terrible prices terrible workers.

My husband and I visited on our 16th anniversary; we have wanted to try it out ever since it opened. I asked for a Missi-mosa after completeing my order. It didn’t look like a “mimosa” I have ever had previously. I gave it a shot and was met with tomato base flavor and spiciness. I went back to the bar to ask what he made me. He said it was a mimosa, so I let him know I had ordered a Missi-mosa instead. My drink was fixed and our food came out shortly. We used to visit 2 gourmet hot dog establishments in Tallahassee that set the bar really high. Being a gourmet hot dog bar, I expected the corn dogs to be hand dipped. Obviously, the menu doesn’t say that; it was just my unrealistic expectation. The cornbread coating on my corndog was undercooked, and my Kosher dog on poppy seed bun was overly burnt and came with fires that I didn’t order. My husband’s cheeseburger with pickles and lettuce turned out to be just a burger with bacon on a bun. The bartender confirmed with me twice that it was to have pickles and lettuce. I go to pay for the check and am thoroughly confused. He takes and swipes my card without telling me how much. My “2 corndogs” (which is how it is listed on the menu) was $18 rather than $9 and a double charge for fries with the 2nd set of corndogs that did not come to my table. The bartender hands it over to Jonah to assist me with the discrepancy on the charges. When he returned I asked if he was a manager, he said basically, so I proceeded to pour out my disappointment. He explained that it was my bartender’s first night, apologized for messing up my anniversary night, and said he would make it right. He fixed my ticket; I still tipped them $20 for taking care of us.
I loved the lighting and the bar. You get lots of fries and lots of funnel cake fries, but our fries must have been seasoned right next to them as a few came with fry seasoning and powdered sugar. I really wanted to love the food (we usually like bar food), and I don’t understand the lack of quality, because only one other couple ordered food after us as everyone else was there to have drinks. It seems like a really chill place to work, but almost too lax, because 2-3 employees were just “hanging”.
I would like to offer a suggestion with the ordering process. Since you don’t have waiters/waitresses and have to order at the bar (maybe this is just a summer arrangement), you could consider electronic table ordering. Ordering at the bar can be loud and misunderstood as evident that our order was messed up from get to go.
I will give Quack’s a second chance, maybe for Sunday Brunch. Jonah is awesome!!! Thanks so much for taking care of us tonight!!!

I’ve recently encountered a bouncer with the most disrespectful attitude when being greeted at the door. This past weekend was my friends 21st birthday and we decided to bar hop on the square. Four of us walked through the door, showed the bouncer our IDs (we are all 21), the bouncer begins to examine our IDs, rolls her eyes and begins to give us a groggy attitude asking for some other form of ID (like a credit card, debit card, etc), asks us to pay a form of cover (barley anybody was in the bar) then proceeds to deny us and laugh to her friend next to her. I’ve always enjoyed being in quacks but the lack of professionalism is insane.

1st kid came over and took out non alcoholic drink order, then came back and asked if we were ready to order, told him no bc my husband was in the restroom. 2nd kid came over and said in a loud voice “are you ready to order?” I smiled and said that I was waiting for my husband. A few minutes later my husband and I went to order. So, we’re in the middle of eating when the 2nd kid walks over and said ” I need your card for your bill”. My mouth fell open. I looked at my husband and he was just like “wow”. We gathered our stuff and left. People kept staring at us. Smfh.

My friend and I had an extremely disappointing experience at this establishment. After confirming with the bartender that we could take our to-go Diet Coke and ginger ale with us (as we do not drink alcohol), we were met with completely unprofessional and inappropriate behavior from the bouncers. Despite following proper protocol, we were harassed by the security staff—who appeared to be around 20 years old—laughed at, and treated as if we were unintelligent. Their dismissive and condescending attitude made us feel disrespected and unwelcome.
To ensure we weren’t in the wrong, we later confirmed with police officers that it is not illegal to take soda out of a bar, which only reinforced how unjustified and out of line the bouncers’ behavior was. The blatant lack of professionalism and basic customer courtesy was unacceptable, and we left feeling uncomfortable and belittled. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values respectful and competent service.
