I freaking love this place! They have the most unique pizzas. Obviously the famous dill pickle pizza is amazing but I also regularly get the chicken parmesan, which has a pasta sauce base and spaghetti noodles under the cheese! I’ve never seen something like that at any other pizza place. The pretzel pizza with pretzel crust and a nacho cheese base is another fun one to try. The staff is always super friendly and efficient when I go in for pickup. The food is always hot and fresh with quality toppings. Makes for great leftovers. It’s dangerous how close I live lol.

I found out this year I have gluten and a dairy allergy, so it has been a huge adjustment. Thankfully Chubby Charlie’s Pizza is one of the only places around that offers BOTH gluten free crust and vegan cheese, so I can still enjoy pizza nights with my family. It is so flavorful and delicious! Even my husband tasted it and said it was one of the best pizzas he’s had in a long time. I ordered it for a large gathering the other day, and everyone was just raving. You have a frequent customer in all of us now! ✨️ 10/10 recommend. And a huge thank you for your allergy friendly offerings.

Love their pastas!!! Chicken bacon carbonara and the bruschetta are the best!!! I always order their pasta every time…it’s too good not to…for the price!!! I’ve never had an issue. They could update the outside and do a little remodel, draw a little attention to the joint, being in the plaza back there.

Food was hit or miss. Maybe just a bad night or understaffed? All the pizzas seemed to be very light on cheese. We were missing 3 items from our order even though the receipt had checkmarks next to each item and I asked when I picked the order up that we got all sauces and food. Sure enough I got home and several items missing including a whole order of breadsticks and two sauces that we paid extra for.
Pretzel pizza didn’t really taste like much of anything. Nacho cheese was either missing or no flavor. This was the reason we wanted to try Chubby Charlie’s and it turned out disappointing.
Americano Stromboli was awesome. Very good and would happily order it again.
BLT pizza was good but not a lot of mayo, bacon, or cheese on it which meant it was fairly bland.
Caprese pizza was not good. The spinach was black and wilted from the oven in many places so it crumbled into your mouth with each bite.
Formagi cheese bread was very good.
Tiramisu and cannolis were both quite good. Far better than expected from a pizza place!

Next Level Pizza!
Easily among the best Pizza in Michigan.
So far I have had their Deep Dish and (shown here) their “Pretzel Crust” Pizza. This blows away any of your big chain store Pizza.. much much better ingredients. Look at the Mozzarella! This is easily as good if not better than Buddys. Their Deep Dish crust is like the 1980’s Pizza Hut Butter-Pan Deep dish but with better ingredients. So far has been consistent. Price is not cheap but this can not be be compared to the Big Box chains.

New to the area, we’re still making our way through the local pizza places, and Charlie’s did not disappoint! The pizza was delicious, everything was hot on arrival, the breadsticks and garlic cheese sauce were to die for. We’ll definitely be ordering from here again.

This location likes to make the crust really big so they can skimp you on the toppings. Pepperoni tasted like it was from the dollar store and the pizza wasnt cheap. Have tried a few different locations and they cant seem to get it right at any of them.

They gave me cold pizza. Clearly, they misplaced my order and found it at the last minute. Rather than explain and ask me to wait a little longer, they made four pizzas in five minutes and I walked out the door with four cold pizzas. After telling my family how much I liked this place and spending 150 bucks insisting that this is the place we should get pizza from, they gave me 4 cold barely cooked pizzas that tasted awful and made me look like a fool. I would have waited. What a waste. I am never going to this place again.

I called my order in for a carry out, the guy on the phone was very polite and my pizza was ready in a timely manner.
I would never have thought of dill pickles on a pizza but I was very impressed. The first bite seemed extra salty, but then maybe I got used to it because it didn’t seem as salty. If you like well done crust you’ll have to ask for it, the crust was on the lighter side. I really did like the cheese they use. The cheese was not all stringy but it stayed in place to get cheesy goodness with every bite.
