Been wanting to try this place for a while now. It didn’t disappoint. Michael, server/bartender extraordinaire was like a machine. Polite, friendly, efficient. One of the best I’ve experienced in a long time. The food was great. Hot salsa was outstanding! We will definitely be back to this little gem.

New owners and revamped menu that they cannot support. High prices and slow service. My wife and I had Baja Tacos that didn’t have Four dollars worth of ingredient’s and they charges us $25.00 for it. Lady in our group had a chicken Burrito and when she cut into it found only Rice. She asked the waitress where is the Chicken and the waitress brought out a small cup of chicken.

Will not go back, so sorry because the old owners had a nice place.

Never been here before but found a cool place with good food. My bowl looks like a salad from this picture but under this is shredded chicken, beans, rice then the lettuce, cheese, etc. you see. It was good! My hubby liked his burrito too.
The chips were OK and the guacamole was weird…they said they usually make their own but not many reasonable avocado options right now so they took this back.
Ended the meal with this sweet cheesecake. The place was clean, set up for social distancing and the staff were helpful.

Great food, Great service, Great drinks. Great atmosphere! Ally family and friends love this place. The green sauce is a hit and my favorite is the Wednesday special. Carnitas stuffed relleno!! Also ask about the desserts. And the carnitas fries!!! O man! Amazing. Also serve breakfast all day. The chiliquilas!!! The awesome cook Mark created a version of fried ice cream with homemade caramel sauce that blew my mind. Since the new owner, the place has been amazing!! A must try for amazing Mexican food!!!

I love this. Hands down one of the best Mexican food ever. Yummy I got a build your burrito which it has shredded beef, rice, and refried beans on top was pico de gallo red sauce and lettuce. On the side was sour cream and guacamole. The chips are just as good. I love the fact that chips have a slight lemony taste to it.

Had a great experience at Barbudos, one of our favorite, unique dining experiences in the Prescott area. This place has been here for many years now and has gained credibility with my wife and I as a place to go when we want a different style of Mexican food that is authentic in its own way.

For Foodies By Foodies (FFBF) highly recommends Barbudos.

#1 Green Green Burrito – FFBF RATING – 5/5
This burrito is a flour tortilla filled with mouth watering refried beans, juicy shredded beef, melted cheese, and covered in a spicy green tomatillo sauce. When I say spicy, I mean it! If you don’t like spicy, be warned if you try this. If you do like to eat spicy food, you will love this burrito! The flavor is a tangy, spicy, and filled with seasoning! I’ve never had a burrito that tasted like this.

#2 Chips and Salsa – FFBF RATING – 5/5
They make their own homemade chips and salsa. They have 3 different salsas that they bring out: Mild, Medium, and Hot. My wife mentioned during our meal that this is one of the only Mexican restaurant in the Prescott area that when they say the salsa is spicy, it actually is. Lol. Their salsa is spicy, garlicky, a nice blend of different peppers, and very flavorful. Definitely a foodie kid of salsa.

#3 Decor – FFBF RATING – 5/5
They have a great Baja California atmosphere when you walk in the entrance to their restaurant with surf boards and pictures of the ocean and surfers on the walls. Very good decorations that have their own style and are not tacky or too much though.

#4 Cleanliness – FFBF RATING – 5/5
The restaurant was very clean, both inside and outside the restaurant.

#5 Customer Service – FFBF RATING – 5/5
our waiter was very attentive from the moment we walked in and were seated until the moment we walked out. We had a group of 4 adults and 6 kids with us, yet he was not phased by it. He took care of us very well! For instance, never allowing us to run out of water (which we needed from the spicy burritos), giving each of the kids a quarter to get a piece of gum from the giant gum all machine, bringing fresh chips and salsa the entire time we were there, and getting our orders right.

It is definitely a Baja Californian style Mexican food restaurant, so don’t go there thinking you will get something like Plaza Bonita or some other place. It is very unique and For Foodies By Foodies absolutely recommends it!

Was just there ordering a burrito to go. They need more servers for sure. Waited quite a while – ordered a shrimp enchilada and then before I paid, I asked for sour cream and she added that on. So for $11, I got a tiny little shrimp burrito and they forgot the sour cream. I will not be going back – there is absolutely no value in the amount of food that you get.
