We went for brunch and honestly, it was really amazing. My friend had the LOX Benedict and dang… it was good (I tried it) it had a perfectly poached eggs, the salmon was fresh, and the flavors just worked. I went with the Acapulco Scramble with chorizo, and wow the chorizo gave it just the right kick not crazy hot or spicy just right, eggs were cooked perfectly.

The portions here are massive, like so big I ended up taking half home, and I’m not someone who gets full easily. The Potatoes O’Brien deserve their own shoutout. They’re hand-cut, perfectly seasoned, and crisped just right on the outside while staying soft in the middle. You can tell the kitchen puts real care into the food.

On top of that, our waitress was bilingual (Spanish/English), which made everything smooth and welcoming—nice touch for anyone who prefers to order in Spanish.

All in all, this is a brunch spot that delivers huge portions, bold flavors, and food that actually tastes like someone made it with care. Definitely coming back.

The food wasn’t cooked. We had breakfast scrambles. The peppers and onion had never seen the grill and cheese not melted…still grated. Shocking, really. Also had to ask for drinks twice & waited too long for the bill. Not going back.

First the food situation. I got the chorizo eggs benedict topped with avocado and hash browns as my side. The benedict was okay, but not complete as advertised – no avocado. The hash browns were poor, and not served as requested. The service was really poor, but pleasant! The server explained that they were out of avocado, so it wouldn’t be served on the benedict. No alternatives were suggested or offered as a substitute. I asked If I could have a slightly reduced price due to no avocado being available, and was told that I could, but this was not accommodated at the register. I asked that my hash browns be cooked very crispy, and they were not and fairly raw in the middle. My coffee was only refilled once during the entire breakfast, and only when my cup was cold and nearly empty. At the register my bill was confused badly with another tables bill and it took two employees to sort it out. Once again, no discount was provided for the lack of “menu” advertised avocado. I paid the entire bill without question, due to their confusion and my wanting to leave. I also tipped 20%, which is rare for bad service, however the service was so bad that I’ll just never go back to this location. My visit time was approx. 7:25am on a Friday, and I was one of the first customers that day. The atmosphere was gaudy, with copious valentine decorations adorning the place. I’m all about love, but ick! Also, as a side note, I wanted to eat at this location about a month and a half ago on a Saturday morning right when they opened at 7am. I waited in the parking lot until 7:30am and this location was still not open, door locked/lights off/no one answering this locations phone. When I called the number for Patty’s Eggnest in Mountlake Terrace, they made me aware that this location has a different owner than other locations. If you want to see proof of what I’ve described, compare the reviews for this Edmonds location, the Mountlake Terrace, and Bothell restaurants. Sorry Edmonds Patty’s Eggnest, but you’ve lost an early morning customer for life, just the truth.

staff is VERY kind and welcoming: when a busker accidentally cleared my meal after eating, they remade it all so I could take home. very kind.

wonderful and cozy meal. meals came unsalted so you could salt to taste. the belgian waffle was fluffy and not too sweet, the potatoes o’brien had a nice flavor. and though the hash browns could have been a little crispier they were yummy as well.

condiments on every table as well as jam and sugar and creamer. the inside is very cozy.

Oh my goodness!! What a cute cafe! I loved that it was decorated with spring decor! The atmosphere was relaxing and the customer service was excellent!! Enter through the breakfast/entrance otherwise there’s no other way to get in.

There is a huge selection of items on the menu including options for vegetarians and senior/kid section where the portions are 1/2 the size as the main dishes. Pricing is reasonable but the food was not flavorful, I had the chorizo eggs Benedict, the chorizo tasted like soap was mixed in it, the hollandaise sauce had no flavor and the hash-browns were under cooked, however my Bellini drink was good and strong!! I really like this place and if I was more local I would definitely go back!

I used to be a frequent client here. We had a terrible experience with the “manager” Carmen. Her attitude with clients and employees is unacceptable. We were waiting over 20 min to be seated when we asked if we can seat on one of the 2 tables were empty she said no but not in a good way she was extremely rude when I asked her in a friendly way then she approached to me on our table trying to intimidate me and give crap (obviously I didn’t allow her). I also witnessed the way she talked to the staff there and was not ok.
Even the waitress apologized for that which were not their fault.
Waitress are friendly, food is good but this lady will ruin this place. I hope the owner take some action here. I always recommend this place to family and friends but I won’t anymore.

I want to start by saying that I had already heard negative comments about this restaurant. Today was my first time visiting despite those reviews. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible due to the behavior of the “manager.”

My friend and I waited over 20 minutes to be seated. There were two large tables that were clean and empty, but the manager (her name is Carmen) refused to seat us there, saying they weren’t meant for more people (there were four of us, and the tables seated at least six). My friend spoke with one of the waitresses, who agreed that we could sit at one of the tables.

After we sat down, the manager approached my friend with a very rude and arrogant attitude, raising her voice and telling her that she couldn’t come into the restaurant and do whatever she wanted. We did nothing inappropriate — we only sat at an empty table after a waitress told us it was okay. When my friend explained she was a regular customer and asked to be treated respectfully, the manager said she didn’t care and started arguing.

This is unacceptable behavior for someone in a management position. Carmen should not be working in customer service. What kind of manager treats customers with such disrespect and arrogance? Again someone like this should not be working in a customer-facing position. I truly hope the owner of this restaurant reads the many negative reviews that exist solely because of this woman.

On a positive note, all of the waitresses were attentive, kind, and professional — a complete contrast to the manager.

We took a chance with the polarized reviews and we’re really glad that we went to Patty‘s eggnest at this location. Everyone who served us or seated us was very nice. We had delicious coffee within minutes in cute mugs. I ordered senior egg scramble with cheese and bacon and my husband had the pancakes and eggs… He loved his breakfast. I enjoyed my eggs and the biscuit but was not a fan of the hashbrowns. I’m really not that big of a breakfast potato gal! We were extremely comfortable there and enjoyed the attentive service during our stop.

Wow, talk about a great little place to take time out for some brunch. We had a party of four and had a table in under 10 minutes. The place was very clean, and the girls who were serving were quick, friendly, and professional. The food was awesome and I couldn’t even finish my omelet it was so much food. I had the Denver omelet with hash browns and toast, my wife, the Swedish pancakes. Definitely a great place to eat!!!!
