My oldest daughter and I ordered their “giant” pancake. Sure it was large in diameter, but it was thin. Mine was overcooked. Definitely not worth 11 bucks. They have a small menu and their food was below average. Breakfast is some of the cheapest foods to make but they’re charging gourmet prices.

Amazing dinner tonight! I got some sushi and my husband got the sirloin. Delicious food! Can’t rave enough about the dinner and the atmosphere! Our daughter had the kids fried fish dinner and loved it. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Great food! Our fish dishes were excellent. The bisque was top notch and the chowder was 10/10! Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. Plenty of gluten free options as well!

Food is great and big portions. The fried clam strips batter is light and crunchy! So good!Hush puppies are wonderful! Their sweet potato fries are the best I’ve ever had but unfortunately they’re coming off the menu in a few weeks!?? That’s ok though. Our server, Trisha was very attentive and checked on us often. Excellent service!
Edit/update: back again and had their shrimp and oysters with fries and baked sweet potato. Everything was excellent! Trisha was our server again(by request) and she even remembered me! She was super busy but I noticed she was attentive to ALL her tables. Tip her well if you get her!

Diamond Shoals Restaurant was, at best, a 3/5. The food was okay. I had the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans—it was decent, but the portion of fish was small, and definitely not worth the $30 price tag. I get that it’s a tourist spot, but that felt seriously overpriced. The fish itself was also pretty bland.
We also tried the fish bites and fried calamari as appetizers, which were actually pretty good. The sushi dishes, on the other hand, were just okay and came out really late—so late that the salmon dish was already finished by the time they showed up.
Service was just average. Our waiter didn’t offer great recommendations, and the hostesses weren’t particularly welcoming either.
We decided to try this place because of all the positive reviews, but it ended up being a bit of a letdown. Later, I noticed a sign at our table saying that if you leave a 5-star review, they’ll give you a sand dollar. Honestly, that felt a little like bribery.

This was our 2nd time going, this time was much better. Our waitress was much nicer and quicker. The food was good as always and the atmosphere was nice, wasn’t very crammed and they had nice music in the background. The place can be on the pricey side, but overall nice place.

The clam chowder was some of the best I’ve ever had! The grouper bites are incredible such a light batter the fish is flaky and flavorful. The chipotle sauce was great just a little spicy for those that like a more mild flavor. Absolutely so glad I made a pit stop on my way back to Nags Head from Frisco. Even give a cash discount and I happened to have some on me! Wonderful food and wonderful service. Thankful I found this gem- I will be back!
