By far the worse service food atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. I do not get a chance to go out often anymore and we decided to try lava again because it’s under new management. There was six people including myself. We ordered food and it came out ice cold. The waiters excuse was the food was sitting for a while on the table. The salads were wrong and the chicken on top came out ice cold twice. The waiter was extremely rude and lied to make an excuse as to why the service was bad. We decided to leave after 30 min being there. Instead of accommodating to this horrible service, lava had the audacity to charge us 160 dollars for the service. The waiter got up in my face and got extremely hostile. There was absolutely no one in this place. The atmosphere there felt like a funeral. Never ever again. This place should shut down.

We just came back here for the first time in a while. The new management has made such an amazing difference. The food was EXCEPTIONAL and our server was very friendly. Everything came out in a timely manner and our whole experience was perfect. We will definitely be back again soon!!!

Nice change of pace to your local hookah lounge. Talented & friendly service. Chill & comforting ambience. Food Menu is out of this world. Evertime I go I try something new and have never been disappointed. Hookahs are clean & tasty, can definitely tell this place is well managed.

Great for groups; would definitely return. We looked for an outside patio for a family event with 50 folks from ages 1 to 80. (Of course, no hookah as there were children.) So grateful I found lava lounge. They opened early for our group. The food was delicious and the service friendly and impeccable. I have to comment on how wonderful the people were to work with, from Chrystal and Lena to Chef and wait staff. They were so kind and went out of their way
to make sure that every facet of the event was perfect. I would hold an event there again in a heartbeat!

I’m not the first to experience terrible service recently as can be seen in other reviews. My wife and went in NYE to grab a couple smoothies and some apps, I brought a cigar, and we planned to spend some time there and ring in the new year. I asked prior to lighting if a cigar was cool to smoke and was confirmed pleasantly by staff. I ordered a drink and about 10 mins later another table walked in and sat behind us. Complained immediately of the cigar smoke to staff while chatting it up before moving to another table. They then ordered their drinks and received everything within 5-10 mins, yet I still waited and even had to pull staff to ask where my now 30 minute smoothie was. Multiple discussions were had with other tables and staff in what they thought I didn’t understand leaving me to feel terribly unwelcome and honestly sad. I just wanted to enjoy just one evening with my wife. Unfortunately that wasn’t going to happen at the lava lounge.
Btw by time the smoothie did make it to the table, it wasn’t even good…won’t be returning.

Mike was so sweet and helped accommodate our order exactly how we asked. He was extremely attentive to service us and kept a smile on his face the entire time. I will be coming back to the Lava Lounge once I visit Michigan, after this nice experience ❤️ the vibes are lit and the food is great!

The herbal tea and mezza were delicious. I eat sushi, and ordered two appetizers, some of the menu items have a mix of ingredients that seem gross. I have no idea where the spiciness is coming from. Too many sub and burger options which make the rest of the menu unbalanced. The variety from different subcultures of food make it seem difficult to appeal for one taste. Prices are very unorganized. While trying to enjoy the soggy nacho, the phone kept ringing very loudly. Hostess/host needs to have their office within the kitchen. They removed the curtains which I loved a lot. It gave privacy and some sort of barrier from all the hookah smokers. The TV entertainment is ugly and doesn’t fit with the sitting booths. Maybe it would be better if the table and chairs were used more, the entire room would be more inviting.
