The food was extremely greasy, even the chips. The manager was very rude. The food was way overpriced! I ordered the chile verde plate, which was $18! Instead of salsa, they had a tomato and lime base.

Monterrey never misses! It’s my hometown favorite for a reason. The food is delicious and is delivered fast. The restaurant is always clean and comfortable. The only thing I’d change is the ladies’ restroom. Please, please replace the curtains with real locking doors. Other than that, every visit is perfect.

We have eaten at this restaurant for 10 years plus. I have to say although the decor hasn’t changed both the service and food have. Not for the better. We had a wait time of 25 minutes when they had plenty of people working and only 4 people sitting for dinner. The hostess simply had no idea what she was doing. The food is always different: from taste, spice, and consistency. I am rating it a two because our server was excellent. But overall this place has gone downhill rapidly. Midland may have a staffing issue but that should not effect the chefs ability to prepare the meals from recipe. The decor is pleasant and the restaurant always clean. I would not recommend parties over 4 here.

This is one of our go to Mexican haunts in Midland. My wife is from Mexico and we have a home there that we live in part time.
So we love Mexican food! Heck we love Tex-mex…. Heck, we love food!
Monterrey Cocina has a great menu with very reasonable prices. I can’t think of anything we have ordered from there that was average or sub-par.
It’s all great!!!!
The staff there is always super friendly.
Be warned though…. If you go at peak hours or on a Friday or Saturday- be prepared for a 15-30 minute wait. This is a pretty popular spot with the locals.

Management needs to do a good cleaning dining room is dusty and some fresh paint. The food otherwise is great and the house margaritas are top notch! Cheers to also to the friendly waitress!

Came to try out this restaurant since my friend recommended it and it was really good. I was very impressed with their service. I was more like Wow’ed by their service. We had a waitress that tended to us but there were others there that also check on us. They made sure we didn’t need more drinks, chips, salsa, etc. The food was really good. Nice crispy crunch tacos with rice and beans. I was full with my plate. My husband got a plate that had one crispy taco, one cheese enchilada, some steak fajitas, and rice and beans. If I didn’t say it already, I loved the service! LoL

Played it safe by ordering the enchilada plate with rice and beans. This restaurant apparently had been in business since the 1950’s so you know the food is solid and safe. I would have loved to see some hot sauce options other than Tabasco.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I’d do it every single time. The staff here is rude beyond belief especially some lady who clearly thinks she runs the place. Her attitude is nasty, unprofessional, and flat-out embarrassing. I’ve never seen someone act so childish while pretending to be in charge. The energy was giving ‘sleeping with the boss’ and she carries herself like it. Truly disgusting behavior that says a lot about how this place is run

It’s an a amazing and joyful Mexican restaurant where family and I can actually taste a real Cocina Mexicana my kids loved their queso con carne the horchata water was delicious just like any other drink available and to finalize my lovely experience the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to join an amazing service and Mexican food, the bar it’s nice as well, will be perfectly clear that I can have a great time with friends.
